Outrageous behaviour by UPS courier

UPS Account Number: V3080A At about 12.25 pm today a UPS courier arrived to collect my HTC phone for return for repair. I asked him to wait while I went back downstairs to collect my package which was addressed and only requiring a waybill from the courier. He shouted to me he had a hundred packets to collect and couldn't wait. I called back I was coming and when I got back to the door he had LITERALLY, run away. This man is not fit to be working working with the public. I called HTC and they said they would talk to UPS. A few minutes later they called me back and said UPS would call me within an hour. ................................... Which they did just now (12.58) and promised a new collection by 5pm. If this gets brushed under the carpet I'll post it on every site I can think of. I'll never use UPS again.

It's Christmas season and those guys are already overworked. They are out there well into the evening.

And you want the guy to stand around while you retrieve a package that you KNEW they were coming for and should have been by the door.

Then you have the nerve to complain when they resolved it so quickly. Why don't you at least wait until five?

UPS in Ottawa, Ontario - Drop and Run Again

I ordered a perishable food product from costco, I had my Turducken delivered, and as usual they did the drop and run on the step no knock no doorbell rung, this side up was down, and it clearly says perishable, if I wasn't home to see the truck driving away I wouldn't have got the package, Last time it was another nice looking box on the step for the criminals. I work in the food delivery industry and this is not the way to deliver packages total disregard for the customer how many packages get stolen every year due to this incompetent practice

And if the driver had done what many do which is not leave a package unattended in case of thieves you'd complain your turducken was ruined because it was perishable and they returned it back to the hub. Which would you prefer?

It null and voids the usefulness of a delivery company if they can't get the package to the customer properly. They were most certainly incompetent by leaving a perishable parcel, wrong side up on the steps of someone that was home to receive it. This IS their job and if they can't do it right they should fold their business!

Not incompetent. Do you realize how many deliveries they have in a day?

They can't stand around at each door waiting for an answer. I never have a problem with any delivery because since I know I ordered something, I will be sure somebody is home and watching for the package during the delivery window. Thieves are not the responsibilty of UPS.

Call the cops on that one. From now on, make arrangements and keep an eye out.

UPS in Poughkeepsie, New York - Package Non Delivery

I have a package sitting in a UPS facility since Dec. 5th not 10 minutes from my house that has not been delivered. First it was put on a wrong truck "Out for Delivery", then left twice in a UPS facility with delivery rescheduled twice. Then it was missed at the UPS facility as of yesterday. Finally I had to call the corporate complaint line this morning to have this further investigated. A word to the wise, contact your vendor and have your shipping fees refunded if your package does not arrive. Make them aware that UPS is not the way to go for package delivery.

If UPS is only ten minutes from your home. Why did you not just go pick up your package youself?I use UPS a lot and Have never had a problem with delivery. Most of the time my packages arrive earlier than stated.I do not see the complaint here. All i see is someone that has nothing to do on their hands but sit on their behind and Try to cause others problems.

Connie,

It is nice that you live such a unblemished life; but,for the rest of us, I, for one have bragged about how good UPS is, but, in the past couple of weeks it is like witnessing the meltdown of a company. They now seem to take advantage of weather etc. to NOT DO THEIR JOB. There have been no major weather issues that have taken a week for the rest of the U.S. to recover from, yet, they claim a small 24hr weather delay is causing MAJOR back-ups. Then theyshut down CHAT and don't answer the telephone. WHen I finally did get someone on the telephone the call is cut off, especially, if you ask for a supervisor.

POOR PERFORMANCE!!!!

UPS in Pharr, Texas - Customer Service is worthless.

Yet another outsourced company. Don't bother with the wait times. Somebody from some place out of the US that probably doesn't even know what UPS is will read you exactly what you are reading on your screen. I hate that so many vendors use UPS. What happened to them? They used to be decent. I'll tell you what brown can do for you. Lose your packages. Have cruddy service. Not accept responsibility for issues. Ships jobs to people who read computer screens and have no clue what they are reading. I am done using UPS if I can avoid it.

UPS in Atlanta, Georgia - Wrong address + no delivery

someone else's package was delivered to my place by mistake. called twice and ups never came to pick it up despite promises they would. it sat at my door for a week! i had to go deliver it myself! plus, something i ordered on line never made it to my address. from what i can tell, it was delivered to wrong address and the person there had it returned to sender (the company i ordered from). ups SUCKS in Atlanta/Decatur, GA. definitely go for FedEx if you want something to get where its supposed to! i'm wondering if they hire drivers who can't actually read (the addresses) and/or the employees answering the phones are actually sitting at home pretending to address your concerns when really they're watching tv while talking to you.

UPS lying about delivery

I spent most of the afternoon home, hoping to receive the goods having been sent from the terminal at 08:41 this morning. Finally, an update ticks in at 19:35 on the tracking: "The receiver is on vacation. Delivery will be attempted when the receiver returns." This is an utter lie and completely bogus; no-one has been on the door, nor talked to anyone from UPS. And naturally, no-one has tried to call me on the phone from UPS for the delivery. As the package contains christmas gifts, any loss of the package (would not be a first with UPS, the worlds worst carrier….) would make the christmas a bit stressful, to say the least. And of course, none to receive calls after 17:00 hours, just the bloody answering machine.

3 Weeks for a Package? UPS Sucks

It has taken UPS three weeks to get a package from Kansas to Texas. While the ice storm which stuck Dallas caused the last week of the delay, the first two weeks make no sense. It simply sat in the Kansas City terminal and never moved. I called UPS, called the vendor, numerous times, and each time was promised it would be resolved ASAP. Now it finally made it to the local terminal, after moving thousands of miles out of the way several times, and will take another 3 days to be delivered. They will not let me come pick it up. I needed it before this weekend, but now will have to find some way to do without.

UPS in Greenville, South Carolina - Once again they delivered my package to the neigbors house across the street from me!

This is not the 1st time this has happened to me and out of 6 houses on a cul-de-sac they cannot or do not take the time to actually look at the addresses on the mailbox or the houses. They just want to get the package delivered and they quite frankly DO NOT CARE whose house they pitch it to. They also have some not so helpful or friendly customer service reps who can and do get an attitude with you when you talk to them and they will hang up on you! Nice UPS, really nice people you've got that supposedly are there for your customers. Wish now I had gotten the woman's name or employee ID number who I spoke with not that it would have helped from keeping her from being so snide and rude in the future. Here's my thoughts & message for UPS in general..... F-U all! Stick with USPS or FED-EX whenever possible folks.

Obviously, the get confused at your address. I suggest you put up a nice, big house number sign.

They make nice ones in all styles, etc. which will match the decor of your home.

@nikalseyn

Well seeing that I have a rather large, black number 8 posted on the top of my mailbox post in addition to a bold brass #8 on my front door, and another number 8 on the column next to the front porch I would think I've done all I can do to "show" what my house number is. I think maybe an extra large stencil of the number 8 along with a can of white spray paint and spraying the rather large 8 on the end of my driveway just might do the trick.

I appreciate your nice tip though. :roll

UPS in Raleigh, North Carolina - Called me a liar then lied to me

UPS in Raleigh called me a liar, said I never paid for 1 day shipping with Amazon when I confirmed with Amazon customer service that I did pay for it. They ignored and did not acknowledge that I had authorized a shipment release through their sketchy My Choice Program and did not leave a package I asked to be left at my home. I then contacted them and they told me I could pick up my package tonight, but then called back saying I wouldn't be able to due to their driver not returning and that I would pick up tomorrow. After this I asked for redelivery since that was the initial action they would take but then tried to charge me an extra $6 to change back to a delivery option because they made the mistake in telling me I could pick up a package tonight. So in summary they called me a liar, didn't respect my decisions using their very advertised program of allowing you to give authorization to leave a package, lied to me about when I could get a package, then tried to charge me to fix their mistake.
