UPS Worst Shipping Company EVER

First off, UPS lost my Package, the shipper had to call them so that they could find it. My package has been in calgary since December 20th and I have yet to receive it (it is now January 06, 2014) and still no package. On several occassions I stayed home (missed work) to receive my package and never received, even though their online system it said that there were attempts made; but my apartment unit was never buzzed and I was at home during all of those "attempts". I understand that they are busy during this christmas season but this is very unacceptable. I should have received this package 2 weeks ago. I called the Customer Service line on numerous occassions they reasshured me that my package would be delivered many times but, still no package. They always tell me that they would follow up but never received any phone calls. Very unreliable, untrustworthy and very mean!!

Ever?

Have you looked at the complaints on this site related to FedEx or the post office.

Same crybabies as you. Are you all related?

You sound like you work for one of them. That's my guess. Crybabies - is that the best you can do?

UPS in Winchester, Virginia - NEXT DAY DELIVERY TOOK 4 DAYS

I paid $62.00 to have a small package sent for next day delivery. That was on a Thursday morning. I understand there was bad weather on Friday so I had no problem with a day delay. The tracking said it arrived on the UPS station (about 10 miles away from delivery) on a Saturday morning. However, it was not delivered until 10:45 on Monday. Meanwhile…… the people I had sent the package to sent me a package on the same day through the post office. They paid $5.20 to mail it and I received it on that Saturday. What a disgrace. Send your packages through the post office.

So then you should get the difference back between Next day and 2nd day since it was 2 business days, but yeah unless you pay for Saturday delivery it goes to the next business day which is Monday. The post office has no such issues regarding Saturday delivery, until they decide to stop Saturday delivery altogether.

If there was a weather issue on Friday, Monday was the next business day. Why is that so difficult to understand?

Anonymous
#769836
@common sense

Not hard to understand. What is hard to understand is why something mailed on the same day from the post office only cost 5.20 and was delivered on Saturday.

Why use UPS if the post office can do it better and cheaper?

@APHG2000

I see, so when something isn't guaranteed, has no value coverage, has no tracking and can't be rerouted once shipped, that makes it better.

Oh, you mean the price was less? Yeah, funny when you don't ask for those extra services, or don't need them, the price is less.

Btw a yugo costs less than a cadillac as well. Of course it will still haul your fat carcass across town, just the same.

UPS in Toronto, Ontario - Lost package - but worse, appalling customer service

I shipped a package from my home in New Jersey to my son in New York, then went on a trip to Canada. The package disappeared. When I called UPS, the one number they provide decides, based on your location, whether you speak to a U.S. or Canada rep. I was - without notification or choice - routed to the Canadian reps. I waited on hold for 45 minutes to find out that I had been routed to the wrong country. Another 40 minutes or so of hold was required for me to talk to the U.S. rep, who then put me on hold for about 30 minutes with the tracing department, who sent me for more than 50 minutes of hold with the investigations department. When I got disconnected and had to start again. I TRIED CALLING FIVE TIMES WITH THIS SAME RESULT AND SIMILAR HOLD TIMES. In addition, on the most recent call, the agent lied to me, promising I wouldn't get placed on hold again. Thirty minutes of hold later..... Note on value of loss: I include loss of package, cost of shipping, and cost of cell phone time. I understand packages will periodically be lost. There is no excuse for customer service reps who lie, and there is absolutely no excuse for a phone system that redirects your call to another country without notification or options.

UPS in Toronto, Ontario - Broken box, missing part

The parcel-crated box, well packed with the handles was sent to New York, paid additional $20 fee for handling. Under suggestion of UPS store employee did buy insurance. The box was delivered badly damaged with one of the big item missing or stolen. As I was told the investigation determined that it was poor packaging, so no compensation or responsibility whatsoever. They don’t even give a service complain number. Absolutely horrible service. Same box with more items came all the way from Europe in tact with FedEx. The managers at UPS Canada refused to talk. What could be done in this case?

UPS in Phoenix, Arizona - UPC misdelivery

UPS misdelivered two of second day delivery packages from Amazon.com. UPS sent me text messages indicating the packages were delivered to my address when they had not been. Checked with my neighbors and they did not receive the packages. Contacted both UPS and Amazon. UPS customer service could care less and will not check with their driver to see what happened - (Request: 140103-040819). Amazon is reshipping and marking my account to place UPS as the least preferred shipper for all future shipments. This is the fourth incident with late/misdelivered UPS packages I have had in the past 14 months. Amazon should consider scrapping UPS as a shipper entirely. UPS feels like they don't have to be accountable for their drivers actions.

I would encourage everyone experiencing problems similar to mine to contact your shipper and request that they tag your account with UPS as least preferred delivery company. Amazon has done this for me after 4 late/misdelivered shipments handled by UPS. This is the only way UPS will get the message that customer service counts.

Second day forgot to put on truck. 3rd day lock in storage tank no one can get to. UPS is a horrible company that has no customer service is clearly run by the wrong people. Something needs to change. Luck for you the payment is already made. I will try to only work with fed ex from now on. You continue to run your business the way you are now and you will continue to loss customers. People pay good amounts of money for no reason. Thank you for ruining our weekend and wasting our time. Shame on you all.

i hate UPS anyone can type in youtube "UPS sucks" and its endless videos of true horror stories that UPS has unleashed on their customers.

the company should be dismantled and people should go to jail over the amount of theft and how often they damage/destroy packages.not to mention the sheer laziness and abject lack of professionalism shown by their terrible employees nationwide.

UPS in Wallingford, Connecticut - Delivery due on Friday but no show

You would think that with all the bad PR that UPS has received recently in the media, that they would try to improve their image by extending the delivery hours to catch up. A 2 day delivery mailed on Monday was delayed to Friday because of the new year holiday. It never got delivered, and tracking has no information. So, you would think that they should try to deliver on Saturday, but since it isn't marked for or extra payment made, it may wait until Monday. As I said, BAD way to run a business in a customer service oriented age.

Yes, because doing things that are terribly inefficient is a great way to get ahead of a backlog in parcels due to weather and customer idi0cy.

You must work for the obama administration.

UPS in Warwick, Rhode Island - No delivery, package NOT at pick up location

The driver did not deliver the package saying there was no apartment number listed. even if that was the case he could look up my last name on the box, ring my bell and everything would be fine. instead, he did not even leave the slip at the door, I had to look it up online, to find out the package was not delivered. Then, I called ups to schedule a pickup, they told me to stop by between 8 and 9pm at their Lynnfield location in Massachusetts. Nevertheless, the driver has not returned yet! can you believe this??? Not to mention I was driving to get there in a blizzard and the outside temperature is 5 degrees. So I'm wasting my time and money because of these idiots!
