UPS in Etobicoke, Ontario - Double Charged Import Duty - Min 10 Biz Days to Resolve

Received an automated call to allow me to prepay import duty (from US into Canada). I pay online using my iPhone with no ability to print confirm #. Web site refreshes after a few min and I lose ability to record confirm #. Next day I cannot print payment confirm on UPS site without confirm #. Driver does not see payment so charges me a second time (no choice if I want him to deliver) Driver has no way of confirming payment. UPS CS tells me to call back in 10 business days before they can look into it (that's how long payments take to clear in their system!) TL:DR DO NOT pay import duties online, wait for the delivery and pay then.

UPS in Fern Park, Florida - Delivery

UPS is a horrible source for anything that you may need to have delivered to you or anybody else. I had a packaged delivered to me a couple of times, which to no avail did they attempt to knock on my door or ring my door bell to see if anyone was home. Another time they left a package wrapped around my doorknob, my daughter was home at the time and heard someone messing with the doorknob and that's how we knew something was left by them, they didn't even knock or ring the bell. Packages were left on ground outside my door and neighbors doors multiple times. I live in an apartment complex so that isn't good. Again a packaged was left and when I got home from work it was open and left on the ground, this is ridiculous, especially if you are paying for their services. I would say if you need anything delivered to go with FedEx, but they are beginning to suck as well!!!

UPS/ brown LIYING about delivery attempt and unresolving my issues

UPS delivery people LIED And continues to lie about a delivery attempt. I eceived a 1st attempt notice yesterday. I was and have been diligent about this package as it is something of value. I wish my mother did not use UPS for delivery as I've only had 3 good experiences w/ these people. Today , march 25th , They claimed a 2nd attempt was made and that "customer was not around " at 8:27 pm. I have been up and down from my apt. and stayed at the lobby since 1:41 pm. I was speaking to customer service /call center while I was waiting in the lobby for delivery. Being it was already almost 9 pm and my notification status on email says "out for delivery", on vehicle for delivery". As I was talking to this customer servise person All of a sudden he tells me he got a note on his screen that seemed strange because as I was speakign to him there was a note on his end that says a 2nd attempt was made. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE when I am out in the lobby facing the street and entrance to our bldg w/c has no buzzer and as secure as heck. No key no entry or exit. I am in the midst of this customer serv. conversation. Even he..cust serv . was baffled as I had been on the phone w/ hima nd I told him where I was and here we are discussing the correct address on file that matches my address. No other notes or 2nd attempt little notices of paper on the window, door, outside of the bldg. WHY LIE? If your drivers want to blame the weather so be it. But lying and saying an attempt was made then I must be invisible or the driver invisible. maybe the bldg. is also invisible. NO decency of any kind. I signed up on a week or so ago to receive notifications online, via email and sms. But I have been apparently communicating to a computer and not the facility or customer serv. for deliveries. That sucks. To have made time in my schedule for this and to be lied to. This always happens with brown. Hence I cannot call them ups. as brown is brown..a brown piece of ***. I've always had unusual and awful experiences w/ brown. I never ever use them but certain retailers and people do and they, too have issues. I've only had 3 correct and proper deliveries by Brown in the last 13 yrs. of getting packages delivered by them. I prefer USPS or FED EX over them any day. It would have to be some cold day in *** or a nuclear war for me to accept any deliveries from these folks. I prefer to spend my hard earned money and time, energy and effort on other things. They can ruin your day if you let them. I almost let them. They used my precious time and got me so frustrated because they LIED about a second attempt which NEVER happened and have not rectified this issue. I do not know how they can even stay in business. I hope brown..UPS..you read and see this. If that package gets lost or stolen. You..brown/UPS are to blame. There will be a day that your kharma will *** up will be the only one your company and people will answer to. And when that day comes....no one will ever sympathize. Poor folks who work there and are honest. You get brown for your colleagues brown work.

UPS lied about the delivery of my parcel

On Monday March 24, UPS left an Info notice on my door saying I was not at home when they came to deliver my parcel that was due on that day. They checked "Ist Attempt" box. A big lie. I was home the whole day. They did not knock, nor ring the bell but just left the note. I called the Customer service and I was advised to sign the back of the UPS Info notice and leave it outside the door so on their next attempt, they will leave the parcel at the door. I did exactly that. I stayed home the whole day checking every now and then. Finally, at 7.50pm with no delivery, I called the UPS customer service to inquire about my parcels. As usual, I was told the driver came the second time but I was not at home. I became furious because I was home the whole time. So I asked: if they were here, why is the "2nd attempt " box not checked? In the end, they had no answer to that but apologies. The customer rep promised my parcels WILL be delivered before 10.00am the next day, 72hr late. They have not given me any reason to believe they honor their promises. I am just trying to let everyone know these people charge you for a service they do not deliver. Maybe customers should start looking at the smaller couriers for service. I am seriously considering this alternative, maybe you should as well. Abi.

UPS in Cooksville, Illinois - Lie to me about when my package would be delivered

They had the wrong address for me so they didn't deliver the package. I called gave them the correct address the lady said they would get it on the truck tomorrow. Well no package so now they say I can't come pick the package up at their store in town but it's not on a truck either. Ok well if the *** lady would have told me that they don't know when it will be sent out then I would have went and picked it up. Now they won't let me and don't know when they are going to deliver it. I'm pissed I don't like ups any more.. Bloomington IL UPS. Sucks!!! Don't use!!!

Since I ordered goods from different parts of the world, I have no control over which method of shipment my supplier used for delivery. So I get to try all delivery companies and I really love the services of FedEx and Canada Post, who will leave at note at the...

Just show your receipt and UPS will fix it. I too doubt that the store took your stuff. The best part is that UPS gets to blame the you and or the store for something UPS did.

UPS froze my $1500 guitar during shipment!!

I was told at the warehouse facility in Anchorage, AK, where I live, to bring my guitar to a UPS store for it to be properly packaged for safe shipment during the winter. I took guitar to UPS store, spoke with the store manager, paid the extra for $1500 declared value and the manager packaged it and shipped it. Receiver got the guitar and it had been damaged due to it being stored for extended periods of time in sub freezing temps. I did NOT package the guitar. The UPS store did and I have been told by UPS themselves that if a UPS store packaged it then they would be liable for any damage done to guitar due to their shipping practices. I had been waiting for almost 2 months for this to be taken care of and I received a call today from the store manager and someone from their main headquarters telling me that UPS denied the claim, TWICE, due to the damage was caused by weather. If the UPS warehouse or the store manager would have told me that declared value isn't insurance and that UPS practices leaving packages in sub freezing temps while shipping I would have chosen a different shipping method or different shipper who could've guaranteed safe arrival of my package. I was informed that the UPS store would be responsible for any damage the guitar received since they packaged it. I TRUSTED they would take care of my package. A store manager at USPS informed me that their insurance is just that, insurance, and that my guitar would've been covered. It may have costed me more to ship than UPS but at least I would've been protected. I provided before and after photos of guitar to UPS and The UPS store. Sold guitar on Ebay where I have a 100% feedback rating. I am very frustrated. It wasn't my negligence in packaging that caused the damage, it was my trusting in a "professional" shipper.

Wow this is a delicate matter. Do you have any home owners insurance on it.

Probably wont matter.

I am not sure who is right. Corporate office is not going to help you at all it seems. Your only chance is too take the owner to small claims courts and recover your money. It is really not the store owner's fault but corporate.

However, if your only logical play is small claims court and suing the store owner. You cannot win suing UPS

You are protected, the Declared Value is Insurance for all purposes. You will be refunded eventually....yeah UPS's "Declared Value Program" is an unbelievably long process, but you will be refunded.

FedEx is the same and the USPS is a joke. The UPS Store's Pack & Ship Guarantee will protect you if the UPS Store packed it, and shipped it, you are guaranteed to be refunded for the packing & shipping fees and the total "insured" value as long as you can provide replacement value or repair costs.

People who live in sub-zero climates and expect things not to freeze are not MENSA material, if you get my drift.

Called to file a complaint about driving lying and they told me he did leave is the day before and i a driver didn't come to my area this morning when I saw him there. The constantly lie and they put that the deliver stuff when they actually don't. This is the worst company for customer service.

UPS in Newbury Park, California - Shows delivery on porch...just not mine!!!

Friday March 14TH I checked the status of a local delivery. Showed delivered at 12:36. When I got home I asked the wife where the package was?? Not at my house!! When reported to UPS I got the runaround, so I asked them to check the driver GPS location when he pressed the "delivered button" You would have though I was speaking an unknown language. How *** are we to trust our shipments to UPS?? Not me anymore!! Don't even want to talk about the empty box delivered to me with the bottom wide open a few years ago! DUMB AHOLES!!!!

To everyone,

When will enough people realize just how poor UPS's service is? For many, it goes beyond just poor service, with packages vanishing into thin air, and UPS refusing to do anything about it.

There is NO REASON to use UPS over the other available carriers-NONE!
