UPS Did Not Deliver My Package As Said
I received an email confirmation from UPS My Choice that my package (computer) had been delivered to my patio on 4/8/14 at 5:06 pm. I arrived at home 8:30 pm and the package was not there. I called UPS and they confirmed that the package was delivered. I walked around my house several times as the customer service agent (term used loosely) told me it was probably concealed under something. NO PACKAGE!! He then tells me that UPS will take no responsibility for the missing package as I absolved them when I agreed for them to leave the package without a signature. He actually said "Not our problem...sorry." I receive packages weekly and have only had a problem with UPS. FedEx and USPS deliver all the time and have never "misplaced" a package. After checking with my neighbors, I learned that the driver got out of the truck, empty handed, walked around my house and got back in the truck and drove off. He never took the box off of the truck! I have followed up with the vendor and lodged complaints with the Attorney General's Office, Consumer Protection Division, the BBB, the American Legislative Exchange Council and wrote a letter to Scott Davis, head of UPS. I have discontinued use of their account at work and will only use FedEx and USPS from now. I will only deal with vendors who agree not to use UPS to ship any items to me in the future...that's how pissed I am! UPS drivers are thieves and apparently the company condones their behavior!
UPS in Calgary, Alberta - They can't even pick up a package.
If there was an option to give UPS as a company Zero stars, I would pick it. UPS is a pain to work with, talk to, deal with... all calls are routed to the Phillipines, and it seems as though all their people really could care less about not only picking up from their customers, but actually handling packages choosing to deal with much more complicated bureaucratic red tape. After asking to speak with someone in Canada, they refused to forward my call. Not only can the people in the call center not make a decision, but it takes over twenty minutes for them to take a call for a pick up. With great difficulty and inconvenience, they arraged for some waybills to be dropped off. However, the driver would only provide ONE waybill, despite having several boxes, telling me that I would have to get more from the center. Incredibly lazy. Couldn't find my account number, UPS refused to let me know what my own account number is to ship with them citing "privacy" reasons. As a result, they would not pick up. Found my account number after some digging. The driver shows up, and after asking a number of irrelevant questions such as the shipper and receivers account number which were labelled on the box, decides that he doesn't have time to write an address on the waybill which he provided and walks away. Had to call for another pickup, as this driver refused to come back. This was discovered after calling them to find out where the guy was and that he wouldn't be there until after hours, perhaps 8pm. Yes, companies close at 5 and they expect you to wait. UPS wastes an incredible amount of your time. Customer be warned! As a company, we will not be using UPS again. Fedex however, is friendly, easy to work with, they readily accept your packages and are well worth the extra dollor or two more to avoid the hassle of UPS.
UPS in Kirkland, Washington - Offered 'insurance' and train derailed
Every time I deal with customer support and I reach that 1 individual who is a veteran and knows what's going on it becomes clear. Everyone else I talked to says *** even if they are unsure. Therefore misleading me and giving me false information. You make your company look terrible and are the reason I will never ship with UPS again. You're only as strong as your weakest link and UPS you're a withering blade of grass. I also find it odd that my package is involved in a train derailment , you confirmed this, and you feel no responsibility to pay the claim. It's also funny that the man at the store asked me if I wanted insurance and now I'm being told I was just paying to declare how much my package was worth.
UPS - Terrible Online Experience and Customer Service. NEVER SIGN UP ONLINE, THEY WILL BILL YOU!!
I attempted to return a shipment from Zappos so I went to schedule a pickup on UPS.com. The experience that has followed has been truly miserable. I never used the service once, never registered a payment and had no idea that they were going to try and bill be on a reoccurring basis for months. Next thing I know i get a $285 invoice saying that they will send to a collection agency. Terrible customer service after calling and emailing several times. I hope this does not affect my credit because there is no way I received any service from them.
UPS Driver Left Package to be Stolen!!!!
We live in an apartment complex. Since our apartment's front door is in a hallway full of other apartments, we have a sign on our door that says "do not leave package here, bring to front office" and have only had one UPS *** read it and disregard it (I watched as he did it) but thankfully I was coming home at that moment. This time, the *** delivery driver disregarded our note and our package worth $150.00 was stolen. Driver negligence facilitated the theft of our property. All UPS can say is "sorry." One woman who works for UPS customer service even hung up on me! UPS told us their drivers have full discretion to leave packages despite customer wishes. That is to say, the customer loses because UPS hires *** drivers. After over three hours with UPS customer service, we've gotten nowhere, and we've been given false names and numbers!! I've never been so offended in my life by a company, how dare UPS give drivers that much discretion with other people's property. I want my money back and that driver fired or at least reprimanded!
UPS in Hayward, California - Delivery driver lied
Purchased an expensive item off eBay. I purchase a lot of things off eBay, and don't have any problems when delivered usps or fed ex. Seller chose to ship ups. Waited all day for package to arrive. My apartment is right off the street never saw delivery truck arrive neither did the lady. Delivery driver said no apartment number was provided...BS!..shipping info is provided through my eBay account, which has my apartment address on it, also eBay confirmation states correct address. The one time I use ups, it fails. Not the least bit satisfied. Extremely agitated..why employ liars? Company needs better drivers.
UPS International Sucks
I went to a UPS Store to mail an envelope with just paperwork in it. I wanted a tracking number so paid the additional $1.95 for larger envelope to mail to Canada. So now I'm up to $27 already to mail just papers, it goes to Canada and now they charge me taxes on paperwork because the clerk said I must put a value on the envelope with a minimum $20 value? And another $20 for broker fees to pass it through customs, so now I'm in $50 after all is said and done to mail 9 pieces of paper. Needless to say I will never use UPS again, I should have drove the extra 5 minutes to the post office.
UPS - Universally Poor Shipping
I do a lot of online shopping. UPS has been late with deliveries pretty consistantly over the last several months. I was willing to give them a minor amount of a break over the holidays with increased shipments and the crazy weather, but they continue to be late with shipments. When I call/email them about it they give me the run around. How can "you can sign up for text notifications of your package shipment" make up for it sitting in Chicago for four days due to an "unexpected transit delay?" I recognize a "we lost your package and are afraid to tell you" when I see one. When I'm able to specifically request a shipping company I do so but often I'm stuck with whoever the selling company decides to use.
UPS in Etobicoke, Ontario - Double Charged Import Duty - Min 10 Biz Days to Resolve
Received an automated call to allow me to prepay import duty (from US into Canada). I pay online using my iPhone with no ability to print confirm #. Web site refreshes after a few min and I lose ability to record confirm #. Next day I cannot print payment confirm on UPS site without confirm #. Driver does not see payment so charges me a second time (no choice if I want him to deliver) Driver has no way of confirming payment. UPS CS tells me to call back in 10 business days before they can look into it (that's how long payments take to clear in their system!) TL:DR DO NOT pay import duties online, wait for the delivery and pay then.
UPS in Fern Park, Florida - Delivery
UPS is a horrible source for anything that you may need to have delivered to you or anybody else. I had a packaged delivered to me a couple of times, which to no avail did they attempt to knock on my door or ring my door bell to see if anyone was home. Another time they left a package wrapped around my doorknob, my daughter was home at the time and heard someone messing with the doorknob and that's how we knew something was left by them, they didn't even knock or ring the bell. Packages were left on ground outside my door and neighbors doors multiple times. I live in an apartment complex so that isn't good. Again a packaged was left and when I got home from work it was open and left on the ground, this is ridiculous, especially if you are paying for their services. I would say if you need anything delivered to go with FedEx, but they are beginning to suck as well!!!
