UPS - Requested insurance, package damaged, now told I don't have insurance.
I contacted UPS to request to have a package picked up. At that time I spoke at length with an agent from UPS regarding the item that I was shipping. I told the agent that the item was a fragile item, (a marble vanity countertop), that I wanted to return to the manufacturer. The agent ask me if I wanted to insure the item and I told him that I did and I asked that it be insured for $500. The agent asked me for a credit card number, which I gave him, and he arranged for a driver to pick up my package. The drive arrived without a shipping form, he left and came back later with a blank form and ask me to fill it out. Neither the agent I spoke to on the phone, nor the driver ever told me that I needed to indicate on the form that the item was insured for $500. By the time the item reached the manufacturer it was obviously broken into pieces and rattling around in the box. The receiver refused the shipment and the item was returned to me. When I filed a claim for the damaged item, UPS told me that there was no insurance on the item. The cost of the item was $543 plus tax. In summary, I told the UPS agent that I wanted the item insured and he agreed to add the $500 insurance to my bill. He even took my credit card number to cover payment for insurance. I think that it is totally unfair for UPS to tell me now that the maximum they can pay is $100 for the damage that was caused while the package was in their possession. Very disappointed customer.
UPS in Hickory, North Carolina - Worst Customer Service
My laptop was due to ship yesterday. Anxiously awaiting it, I went home for lunch only to see a note on my door. I had left a note yesterday morning saying "UPS please leave my package on porch even is no one is home." The note I found was a UPS note saying they needed my authorization to leave my package, and to please sign a paper if I wasn't going to be home. Well, obviously I had already done this. So I called the 800 numbers- only to talk to multiple computers. I called my local UPS office- the woman said she could not help me. I knew the delivery man was still in my neighborhood because I had seen him on my way in. After hours of talking to multiple people, they told me they could hold my package and I could pick it up later. One hour after this, I get a call saying I can get my package between 8-830 and I would have to drive an hour to get it. Not wanting to go through these hoops, I said just deliver again tomorrow. The woman told me they could not do this, so I called the customer service center and had it arranged. The package was to be here between 10:30 and 2 oclock today. I left work early after receiving a call saying that they could not leave my package even with a signature. That was at noon. It is now 3:30 and there is no sign of my laptop. I emailed one of the MANY customer service people I spoke with yesterday saying that if my package is not here today I am demanding a refund of my $60 shipping fee and for my package to be on my porch first thing tomorrow.
these drivers are like moneksy swinging in and out of their bloody vehicles they stop right in the middle of the road when they have big parking spaces these guys drive rough
UPS falsified delivery
I too spent the day awaiting a UPS delivery and kept checking the tracking information throughout the day. I did not leave my house. I did not even leave the front room. I continuously looked out the window and checked my porch. UPS never came. However, when I again checked the tracking information at 8:01pm--just after the stated delivery hours had closed--I saw that the driver or someone at UPS had logged in a false statement of attempted delivery less than half an hour before, at 7:35pm. I WAS SITTING ON MY COUCH ANXIOUSLY AWAITING DELIVERY AT 7:35PM. I am outraged that UPS has simply lied about this delivery attempt, wasting my time and defrauding the company from which I ordered my goods of its fee for guaranteed delivery within two days.
UPS in Plymouth, Minnesota - What happened to my package?
Normally I get exceptional service from UPS. I know several very hardworking and dedicated UPS workers that take pride in their deliveries. Unfortunately, this most recent contact with UPS has caused a dark cloud over our previously satisfactory business-consumer relationship. I watched a UPS worker go to another location to deliver my package. FYI - I don't reside in an "honest" neighborhood, so that was my initial concern. Upon finally finding the correct building, he rang my doorbell. I was upstairs. By the time I could slide my house shoes on and get downstairs, he had already begun to knock on the neighbor's door. I was horrified. His response was, "There is no apartment number on the package." I could fly with that, but I happen to know that UPS and the company sending the shipment ask for contact information specifically for instances such as this. All those times you're asked for email address and contact number is supposed to prevent the UPS carrier from having to chance door to door in hopes of someone honestly redirecting to the correct location. And I'm almost certain the UPS carriers are taught these tricks in orientation. Secondly, my package has been opened and replaced with tacky clear tape. The brown packing tape has been cut open and replaced with clear tape. I've included some photos of the condition of my package so you can discern the degree of professionalism for yourself and how carefully my package was handled. There's no hesitation about posting the photo because the address is incorrect, remember. I'm uncertain why this was such a shoddy delivery, but just as I will continue to receive packages in the future with no guarantee who the shipper will choose as the carrier, I certainly would hope to not receive another package in such poor condition, especially having been opened before I receive it. I won't know if the part was damaged until the repairman comes to attempt to use it, so I can't estimate if there are monetary damages at this time.
UPS - Worst customer service (Philadelphia Center)
According to their website, I was supposed to receive my shipment today, they changed the shipping day without informing me. Dispatch was rude, and Vince(Manager) was ignorant, didn't want to listen to any of my concerns, and sounded like he didn't care. he talked like he's doing me a favor, and wanted to end the call at the beginning, I asked him if that was the right way to treat customer, and if he's willing to listen, he said "umm ok, what is it". Dude, it's not my fault you hate your job, learn how to talk to customers, and act like you care
UPS in Newport News, Virginia - Filed complaint and it went nowhere!!!
I ordered a package and according to UPS it was delivered....however, I have no package. When I spoke with the UPS shipping store, the SUPERVISOR was very adamant that, "I can get a picture of your packages sitting on your front porch. I just need the system to update overnight and I will get you your image." I call back the following day and she describes an image that is at least a year old and it's not an image of my front porch, it's an image from Google maps. REALLY UPS. When I called her on it, she had the audacity to become combative. This is the location supervisor! So I call the 800 number to file my complaint and they transfer me back to the location supervisor...the very lady I have who became combative. UPS gets an "F"
Stolen Package Review
My package was stolen in UPS' hand. And they are very slow at processing refund. They thought like they are not responsible for the lost item. Customer service is also substandard. I have no idea why Amazon uses them for global shipping.

Wondering if any one ,has my problem with UPS.......
100% of the time ,All of my deliveries from ups are late, usually around 6:30 or 7 pm , they always say around 2 or 3 pm , so i am sitting waiting all day for UPS .. They told me that all business are delivered to first, before resident's , even if you have a home based business .. I am so tied of waiting for deliveries all day . I checked their website , it seems that you have to pay extra for a quicker delivery even if you already paid for express overnight mail.. i am sick of UPS poor service. A while back, i did not receive the shipment that ,i order together. How about they broke one order up into about 6 shipments , it took about a month for me to receive my order,, after they had to pick up the broken up shipments, and reship out my order. I am so sad, angry, upset, disappointed , there are not enough words to say how bad i feel about them, UPS once was a good company with great service, but the company has gone down, they use to be a trust worthy company, but not anymore, they to go back to their old value's and that's caring about their customer.. very sad in TN
