UPS attempted to deliver

Said they attempted to delivery when they didn't even knock or ring the bell. UPS get your *** *** together I am so *** upset right now. They didn't even leave a note I bet they didn't even bother to get out of the truck. The customer support barely know what the *** their jobs are and then when I finally get an update saying they'll delivery they don't do their *** job correctly. I am so tired of your *** UPS you charge extra for your "premium shipping" when you can't even ship your packages correctly. *** outta here.

Same thing happened to me! What a horrible *** company.

I understand that I wasn't home when you attempted to deliver the package but how do I pick it up without a note?? Such a *** company.

Ups - Package Review from Woodstock, Illinois

UPS MyChoice really should be called NoChoice. Before I get started on that let me first say why the *** don't they deliver to residences when people are actually at home instead of during the day when people are at work. After an unsuccessful attempt to have someone sign for the package they sent it back to their shipping center which is 30 miles away! So then the delivery schedule shows that they will attempt delivery two more times, both when everyone will be at work, I was offered the "solution" to have the delivery time changed or ship to UPS Store through the MyChoice site. My tracking number never transferred to the MyChoice site so this was basically useless. Well it turns out that if you try to have a package shipped to a different address than what is the billing address of your cell phone (which is what I was trying to do) the system won't let you. Also in all it's wisdom it asks to send you a code via text or voicemail in order to authenticate your info. But of course that didn't work because of the billing address issue. So ultimately I had to have UPS send the package back to the shipper and start the process all over again. This time I most definitely will select in store pick up. Thanks for nothing UPS!!!

Once again someone complaining UPS delivers during business hours. When exactly would you like for them to deliver the package to you?

How about about 6PM when you are just sitting down to eat and get a knock on the door? Or 9 or 10 when you're getting ready for bed?

@MattD78

The writer didn't say it would be a problem for deliveries to come at 6 pm or 9 pm or 10 pm. So there's no need to assume this in your response.

On the main item which the writer addressed: the company can address the issue by having two or even three delivery-blocks with different charges.

People who want evening delivery hours can have it for additional cost.

The extra cost paying for the extra overhead the company incurs for extending delivery hours beyond the traditional business day. Some people would complain about this, but most would understand the business logic and have no problem paying more for evening or weekend delivery.

So should they deliver at night when you're sleeping?

UPS in Chicago, Illinois - Delivered to the Wrong Apart While on the Phone with an Agent/package stolen

Major Epic FAIL today by UPS. I still just a bit flabbergast on how you can be at home on the phone with customer service about a delivery still pending for the evening, get the status changed to delivered, run to get the package and its not there? Hmm, the delivery guy was running late, so in stead of checking to see if he had the correct address he puts it into any hallway, no where near mine, and it gets stolen in a matter of 10 minutes?? Wow, and instead of reaching out to the driver who just left the property, they give me the run around and have to go through the long 8 day waiting game. When you were calling and asking all day about the product.. truly the biggest disappointment, was really looking forward to having a brand spanking new sound bar and sub-woofer, I hope who ever has it enjoys my hard earn cash. I the meanwhile I have to call UPS everyday until this is resolved..Wow

UPS in Silver Spring, Maryland - Never Came Through on a Single Promise

I experienced a similar situation as described here by other posters. Sounded honest and forthright. He claimed he would move it on his truck and deliver it. All he did was call UPS Freight and then, of course to our surprise, UPS came after us for payment and sent a bill to collections, which ultimately would have ruined our credit if not settled. Talked a good game but lied to me several times. Never came through. Became indignant when I shared my reserved opinion of him. Operates out of Woodbridge, VA. I cannot recommend this person nor the company.

UPS in Vancouver, British Columbia - No receipt for custom duty

I got a starter motor from the US and was charged $41.67 for custom duty and I was not given a receipt for that.I told the UPS delivery person that the custom duty of $41.667 was too much and he himself agreed that. Then i asked for the receipt and he didnt have the receipt. He said he would bring it the next day and so far I havnt got it.The delivery person also said that it usually ten to fifteen dollars.I informed this to the US company where I had placed the order. The delivery person should know that when he gets the money from the customer,he should give the receipt.

UPS in Highlands Ranch, Colorado - Consistently late delivery

I own a small private dental practice in Denver, Colorado. Over the last year, UPS has consistently lost my packages or delivered them later the expected date. Due to the nature of my business, I need packages to be delivered in a timely manner since we schedule patients accordingly. Recently, I had a time sensitive package ordered from Indiana that I was expecting to receive on Friday June 13. According to the tracking number 1ZW52W171242231198 this package was received in Commerce City, Colorado on Thursday June 12. As of today June 16, my package has still not been delivered. This is completely unacceptable since I have paid for shipping for a specific date. The customer service at UPS is consistently rude and unhelpful including all of the management that I have tried to complain to. I have already changed several of my vendors shipping from UPS to FedEX and will continue to avoid UPS as much as I possible can.

UPS in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Told that package was "lost in transit", never delivered.

Checked online tracking info after not receiving package - or notification of delivery attempt. Online stated 1 attempt made. (No notice left). Called customer service, horrible garbled conversation with Asian rep. Told that "we have to conduct an investigation", item was "at local office", "lost in transit", "cannot give out supervisor name", "must file a claim" etc. Conflicting information. Office on my end open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, no reason that package could not be delivered.....no notification of 1st attempt, no second or third attempt, e-mails bounce back "rejected". Poor customer phone service. Cannot contact UPS online. If package is at local office, it should be held for me to pick it up there. NOT HAPPY!

UPS in San Francisco, California - Bad customer service

I received a delivery attempt notice yesterday that indicated that a second attempt would be made before 10:30 am today. I then logged in today and saw an updated estimate of end of day, after having taken the morning off work to be home at the indicated time of delivery. I called customer service to complain/ get an updated estimate. The woman I spoke with, "Robin H," was incredibly rude and told me that the estimates given were just that and made an analogy to an automechanic quoting $200 when the actual costs are closer to $400. Great comparison! Thinking about automechanics puts me in a trusting state of mind. The story ended well, as the next person I spoke to (Michelle) was much more helpful and said that the estimates were based on the drivers' usual routes, so the delivery probably would happen in the am. I waited a little longer and sure enough the package came before 11 today. What a difference good customer service makes!

The UPS Store #4097 packed and shipped my printer UPS. UPS destroyed it.

I have been waiting since mid-March for resolution of a claim, which supposedly was filed by UPS for a shipment I had packed and shipped through UPS Store #4097. This was for a laser printer which was damaged while being delivered by UPS to a repair facility in Madison, WS. I have had no official or written report or answer to this claim in that time. For all I know, the UPS Store #4097, as Shipper of Record, still has this printer (which UPS returned to them), and no offer has been made to compensate me for even the cost of the failed shipment. In addition, a representative of The UPS Store Corporate has called me twice and left messages, first to say she was filing a claim with The UPS Store, and would call me back in three days. No call. A month later she called to say she'd call me back the next day with The UPS Store's answer. Again no call. Emails to Customer Service for UPS has gotten me sympathy, but no action, except for one representative handing me off to another, who told me I'd have to talk to the UPS Store. From what I can tell from the store owner's broken English is that the kid who packed the printer said I told him to pack it as cheaply as possible. That is a lie. Cost never came up, and I told him, when he said he had to use peanuts, and not bubble wrap, to do whatever he had to do. He put the printer in a box with about two inches of space around the printer. A bit of bubble wrap, and the rest was pink peanuts. Photos I have that were sent to me by the repair facility I sent it to show a printer that has a case cracked in at least 3 places, and a frame that is bent out of shape. Since no action has been taken on this in three months, during which my printer has been sitting in the back of The UPS Store, I consider this both breach of contract, and maybe even theft for making no attempt to return even a damaged printer to me.
