UPS in Chicago, Illinois - Delivered to the Wrong Apart While on the Phone with an Agent/package stolen

Major Epic FAIL today by UPS. I still just a bit flabbergast on how you can be at home on the phone with customer service about a delivery still pending for the evening, get the status changed to delivered, run to get the package and its not there? Hmm, the delivery guy was running late, so in stead of checking to see if he had the correct address he puts it into any hallway, no where near mine, and it gets stolen in a matter of 10 minutes?? Wow, and instead of reaching out to the driver who just left the property, they give me the run around and have to go through the long 8 day waiting game. When you were calling and asking all day about the product.. truly the biggest disappointment, was really looking forward to having a brand spanking new sound bar and sub-woofer, I hope who ever has it enjoys my hard earn cash. I the meanwhile I have to call UPS everyday until this is resolved..Wow

UPS in Silver Spring, Maryland - Never Came Through on a Single Promise

I experienced a similar situation as described here by other posters. Sounded honest and forthright. He claimed he would move it on his truck and deliver it. All he did was call UPS Freight and then, of course to our surprise, UPS came after us for payment and sent a bill to collections, which ultimately would have ruined our credit if not settled. Talked a good game but lied to me several times. Never came through. Became indignant when I shared my reserved opinion of him. Operates out of Woodbridge, VA. I cannot recommend this person nor the company.

UPS in Vancouver, British Columbia - No receipt for custom duty

I got a starter motor from the US and was charged $41.67 for custom duty and I was not given a receipt for that.I told the UPS delivery person that the custom duty of $41.667 was too much and he himself agreed that. Then i asked for the receipt and he didnt have the receipt. He said he would bring it the next day and so far I havnt got it.The delivery person also said that it usually ten to fifteen dollars.I informed this to the US company where I had placed the order. The delivery person should know that when he gets the money from the customer,he should give the receipt.

UPS in Highlands Ranch, Colorado - Consistently late delivery

I own a small private dental practice in Denver, Colorado. Over the last year, UPS has consistently lost my packages or delivered them later the expected date. Due to the nature of my business, I need packages to be delivered in a timely manner since we schedule patients accordingly. Recently, I had a time sensitive package ordered from Indiana that I was expecting to receive on Friday June 13. According to the tracking number 1ZW52W171242231198 this package was received in Commerce City, Colorado on Thursday June 12. As of today June 16, my package has still not been delivered. This is completely unacceptable since I have paid for shipping for a specific date. The customer service at UPS is consistently rude and unhelpful including all of the management that I have tried to complain to. I have already changed several of my vendors shipping from UPS to FedEX and will continue to avoid UPS as much as I possible can.

UPS in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Told that package was "lost in transit", never delivered.

Checked online tracking info after not receiving package - or notification of delivery attempt. Online stated 1 attempt made. (No notice left). Called customer service, horrible garbled conversation with Asian rep. Told that "we have to conduct an investigation", item was "at local office", "lost in transit", "cannot give out supervisor name", "must file a claim" etc. Conflicting information. Office on my end open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, no reason that package could not be delivered.....no notification of 1st attempt, no second or third attempt, e-mails bounce back "rejected". Poor customer phone service. Cannot contact UPS online. If package is at local office, it should be held for me to pick it up there. NOT HAPPY!

UPS in San Francisco, California - Bad customer service

I received a delivery attempt notice yesterday that indicated that a second attempt would be made before 10:30 am today. I then logged in today and saw an updated estimate of end of day, after having taken the morning off work to be home at the indicated time of delivery. I called customer service to complain/ get an updated estimate. The woman I spoke with, "Robin H," was incredibly rude and told me that the estimates given were just that and made an analogy to an automechanic quoting $200 when the actual costs are closer to $400. Great comparison! Thinking about automechanics puts me in a trusting state of mind. The story ended well, as the next person I spoke to (Michelle) was much more helpful and said that the estimates were based on the drivers' usual routes, so the delivery probably would happen in the am. I waited a little longer and sure enough the package came before 11 today. What a difference good customer service makes!

The UPS Store #4097 packed and shipped my printer UPS. UPS destroyed it.

I have been waiting since mid-March for resolution of a claim, which supposedly was filed by UPS for a shipment I had packed and shipped through UPS Store #4097. This was for a laser printer which was damaged while being delivered by UPS to a repair facility in Madison, WS. I have had no official or written report or answer to this claim in that time. For all I know, the UPS Store #4097, as Shipper of Record, still has this printer (which UPS returned to them), and no offer has been made to compensate me for even the cost of the failed shipment. In addition, a representative of The UPS Store Corporate has called me twice and left messages, first to say she was filing a claim with The UPS Store, and would call me back in three days. No call. A month later she called to say she'd call me back the next day with The UPS Store's answer. Again no call. Emails to Customer Service for UPS has gotten me sympathy, but no action, except for one representative handing me off to another, who told me I'd have to talk to the UPS Store. From what I can tell from the store owner's broken English is that the kid who packed the printer said I told him to pack it as cheaply as possible. That is a lie. Cost never came up, and I told him, when he said he had to use peanuts, and not bubble wrap, to do whatever he had to do. He put the printer in a box with about two inches of space around the printer. A bit of bubble wrap, and the rest was pink peanuts. Photos I have that were sent to me by the repair facility I sent it to show a printer that has a case cracked in at least 3 places, and a frame that is bent out of shape. Since no action has been taken on this in three months, during which my printer has been sitting in the back of The UPS Store, I consider this both breach of contract, and maybe even theft for making no attempt to return even a damaged printer to me. UPS - Requested insurance, package damaged, now told I don't have insurance.

I contacted UPS to request to have a package picked up. At that time I spoke at length with an agent from UPS regarding the item that I was shipping. I told the agent that the item was a fragile item, (a marble vanity countertop), that I wanted to return to the manufacturer. The agent ask me if I wanted to insure the item and I told him that I did and I asked that it be insured for $500. The agent asked me for a credit card number, which I gave him, and he arranged for a driver to pick up my package. The drive arrived without a shipping form, he left and came back later with a blank form and ask me to fill it out. Neither the agent I spoke to on the phone, nor the driver ever told me that I needed to indicate on the form that the item was insured for $500. By the time the item reached the manufacturer it was obviously broken into pieces and rattling around in the box. The receiver refused the shipment and the item was returned to me. When I filed a claim for the damaged item, UPS told me that there was no insurance on the item. The cost of the item was $543 plus tax. In summary, I told the UPS agent that I wanted the item insured and he agreed to add the $500 insurance to my bill. He even took my credit card number to cover payment for insurance. I think that it is totally unfair for UPS to tell me now that the maximum they can pay is $100 for the damage that was caused while the package was in their possession. Very disappointed customer.

UPS in Hickory, North Carolina - Worst Customer Service

My laptop was due to ship yesterday. Anxiously awaiting it, I went home for lunch only to see a note on my door. I had left a note yesterday morning saying "UPS please leave my package on porch even is no one is home." The note I found was a UPS note saying they needed my authorization to leave my package, and to please sign a paper if I wasn't going to be home. Well, obviously I had already done this. So I called the 800 numbers- only to talk to multiple computers. I called my local UPS office- the woman said she could not help me. I knew the delivery man was still in my neighborhood because I had seen him on my way in. After hours of talking to multiple people, they told me they could hold my package and I could pick it up later. One hour after this, I get a call saying I can get my package between 8-830 and I would have to drive an hour to get it. Not wanting to go through these hoops, I said just deliver again tomorrow. The woman told me they could not do this, so I called the customer service center and had it arranged. The package was to be here between 10:30 and 2 oclock today. I left work early after receiving a call saying that they could not leave my package even with a signature. That was at noon. It is now 3:30 and there is no sign of my laptop. I emailed one of the MANY customer service people I spoke with yesterday saying that if my package is not here today I am demanding a refund of my $60 shipping fee and for my package to be on my porch first thing tomorrow.

If a thief left a note outside your door and said leave package then drivers just obey what do you think would happen to your packages?
