UPS driver is a real piece of work

I work all day, and can't be home to receive packages. I tell companies to send via USPS or FedEx, but some don't listen and send UPS anyway. I live in an apartment complex and our doorbells don't work, and the lazy, good-for-nothing maintenance man won't fix them, no matter how much tenants complain about it. Because of this, I have my neighbor watch for UPS and have previously left instructions for UPS to either leave the package with my neighbor or leave it outside the main door, which is a locked security door. He refuses to call my neighbor because he says the truck has no phone and he won't use his personal cell phone. He's very uncooperative, and insists I sign a slip before I get my package. My neighbor has run for the truck without her coat on in wintertime trying to catch him, and has fallen and had an accident already trying to run downstairs to the truck, things which I did not ask her to do or want her to do. This is the fault of UPS, who could simply leave the package as I asked...but they choose not to. These drivers are arrogant clowns and I wish companies and individuals would put them out of business by not doing business with them anymore. I've never had this problem with FedEx; they simply leave my packages.

Some companies don't have a choice. If they have a contract to ship UPS they are not going to have your package sent by FedEx or USPS.

Packages Holding Review

They refuse to hold packages and will not deliver without a ransom being paid. I have items which are not subject to duties so ups charges a brokerage fee.

UPS in Kensington, New South Wales - Lost Package - tracking says delivered.

I ordered an expensive product $500 from a company who ships through UPS. After tracking it for a week it arrived in Australia and was noted to be shipped that day. First i was told the tracking was wrong and delivery is the next day. When i arrived home the next day, there was no package or card left and tracking stated it was left at a 'rear door' - i live in a town house and don't have a rear door! After two weeks of following up, i have had the worst customer service and still no package or refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Untrained staff that simply recite lines to try and get you off the phone and bad customer service!

I had a similar experience. I placed and order on 5/23/2014 that was said to have been delivered on 5/29/2014.

When I read the tracking message on line it read at 11:00 am the customer did not answer at 11:07 it reads package was left with a women standing on my porch no signature was required. So who did the driver give my package to? I called customer service and was told that an investigation was in place.

when I call to check the status of the investigation I was told to contact the company I ordered from. No response, refund, no package as of 7/1/2014

Have had what I believe are thieves stealing packages off my front porch..I hate the way UPS makes you pay for any change in delivery...rip off.

UPS in Los Angeles, California - Never received my package

I ordered 5 dresses from Macys which UPS stated they delivered on 6/11/14 @ 2:14 PM here is the tracking #1ZA0T5770341055492. The same day I signed and received a package @ 2:17 PM to the same address and UPS knocked on the door. UPS has closed my case -- stating there is nothing they can do. So how can the UPS carrier deliver another package, and notice he had delivered to the same address 3 minutes ago, and an item was supposedly been left on the porch. I have also contacted Macy, they stated they are reviewing the case. This is my first experience having packages not delivered. I have contacted 2 persons that work there, and they stated that this the way UPS handles these situations. No help too me. Rebecca

One great thing about mobile phones, is the reliability with which they record calls - even missed ones - so there's never any doubt if someone is trying to contact you. My cell is the phone I use for my front door buzzer which allows me to open the apartment building...

UPS in Phoenix, Arizona - I paid them 125.00 to lose my bag and all they said to me was to bad for you sorry.

I paid 125.00 for ups to send my bag 56 lbs of personal Items and clothes from Alaska to Phoenix It never made it. total loss....No refund no nothing!! prescription glasses, all my clothes 2 cell phones shorts socks underpants shirts everything. Ups - Shipping Charge Review from Smithers, British Columbia

I place an order from sleek hair in the U.S. for $120.00 & requested the delivery USPS & instead it is shipped UPS which was an additional &60.00 on top of the $29.99 shipping costs Sleek Hair charged. $90.00 to ship in total. A freaken scam from both companies. My advice is to boycott U.S. purchases unless guaranteed being shipped USPS. After all the UPS complaints, WHY are they still in business. Businesses sending shipments should have to provide the bottom line costs before sending the parcel to a avoid an all & all rip off when it arrives. No professional ethics!!!
