Speeding Review

Today, June 30, 2014, at 18:33, a UPS delivery van bearing the license plate number NJ 3084 was speeding on Elgin Street, Midlevels, Hong Kong. Elgin Street is a narrow street but with heavy pedestrian traffic. The driver, while driving at high speed, also was honking all the way. UPS provides no channels for complaints of this kind. I shall call the police tomorrow.

Ups System Review from Hillsboro, Oregon

I think the UPS system is really bad because you guys do it three attempts and then return the package back to the sender for example my wife and I are we have full time jobs in whenever home Monday through Friday during the hours when you guys deliver so that means everybody that is sent to us has to be sent back on this one of his is home sick or we have to actually not going to work just to receive a package and God knows when what time of the day you guys deliver in all actually a given time so we don't even know when it's going to be delivered so I'm in adults a really bad system you guys have and I'm going to complain about it my phone number is 503-200-7940 I request a call back to talk about this thank you

Matt: UPS actually knocks on your door???? Here in San Diego they sneak up the stairs, set packages down and sneak back down.

That's when they deliver at all. Since 90% of their deliveries now require no signature, we find that a non scientific survey among about 100 friends, neighbors and co-workers have been missing two or more delivers, never to be found.

Is this an apartment you live at? Most deliveries can be delivered at the front door without a signature, otherwise call the ups center when you are at work and request the package to be held for will-call, then pick it up after work as long as it's not after 830 I believe.

When would you like UPS to deliver your package? 6PM?

8PM 10PM? If they deliver your package when you are home at 6PM that means they have to deliver everyone's package at this time and people are then getting deliveries at 10PM. I know I don't want UPS knocking on my door at 10 o'clock at night.

UPS is a business therefor they work in business hours. Not sure how you'd like them to fix that.

UPS charges $42 import fees on top of shipping for a non woking $80 item

These guys (UPS) charge the most import fees to Canada of any carrier. There fee schedule is non existent they just charge whatever they feel like no matter what the value or size of the shipment. I bought a non working music stomp pedal the size of a bar of soap it's value is $80, I paid $18 for shipping and now they want almost $42 in import fees. Also you have to write a cheque or money order to pay these fees because the drivers don't accept cash. UPS is by far the worst, most expensive and unfriendly company I have ever run across. People be ware! they are a rip off!!!

Yes I'm sure you are a major account and will be the down fall of ups; when you resort to posting four letter bombs on complaint sites, you are merely a juvenile who is upset his latest game didn't arrive in when he thought it would. Clowns gotta clown I spose.

UPS in San Antonio, Texas - Store refused to ship plastic shotgun buttstock

The store clerk said ' ups stores do not ship gun parts'. It's a plastic part. She said it was franchise policy? Well my policy is that I dont do business with antigun slimebag companies. I changed to a PO-BOX and saved a lot of money by NOT using a UPS store. My box fee went from 156$ at UPS store, to 70$ at USPS. -------------------------------------------------------- ...the rest of this is because this *** website is making me enter 100 words which is dumb, this does not take 100 words. ..the rest of this is because this *** website is making me enter 100 words which is dumb, this does not take 100 words.

You redneck. UPS Stores are not allowed to ship any gun parts. Not the stores fault.

You can ship them at the UPS HUB through.

UPS Stores are not allowed to ship firearms or firearm parts.

Only UPS Corporate locations are authorized to ship firearms or firearm parts.

Receivers and frames are not accepted by UPS for shipment

Go to the UPS Website, and in the searchbox put in shipping firearms, covers most of the rules.

UPS accepts firearm parts for shipment, provided the part is not a "firearm" as defined under federal law; the contents of the package cannot be assembled to form a firearm; and the package otherwise complies with federal, state, and local law. (Note: Receivers or frames of a firearm are considered "firearms" and are accepted for transportation only if shipped in accordance with UPS's requirements for shipping firearms; firearm mufflers and silencers are not accepted for transportation.)

I love how one franchise makes the entire company "anti-gun slimebags". Yes, each franchise has it's own rules as far as what they will/will not accept but obviously this is not the policy of UPS as a whole.

@MattD78

Not shipping firearm parts is a The UPS Store corporate policy network wide. Franchisees would be in violation of their franchise agreement and could lose their ability to operate by shipping said parts.

And FYI, UPS owns The UPS Store franchise, so they actually do make the rules for the entire network. You lose.

UPS in Hicksville, New York - Horrible Service

I wish I could support UPS. As a former 12 year resident of Louisville, KY, I know how important they are for jobs in that area (they are based there). However my UPS driver for my neighborhood is awful and the customer services following his errors has been equally terrible. First time I had something delivered by UPS, the driver rang up to my apartment and I responded and buzzed him in. There's NO WAY he didn't hear me answer since my dogs were barking like crazy (as they always do when the buzzer rings). He apparently didn't want to take the trip up so he left me a notice. I was anticipating the package because it was my dog's food and they were out. When he didn't come up, I ran outside to find the notice and had to chase him down the street to get it. He was a young kid. Next experience I had was when they attempted delivery to my apartment when I was at work. I went online to arrange delivery and saw that they charged a $5 fee to deliver at a set time. On the 2nd notice, I was about to work from home but saw that my driver had marked that he would deliver after 5 pm. I made sure my partner would be home by 4pm to retrieve the package. Guess what? He came back around 1:30 PM to deliver and gave us final notice. "Surely mistakes happen..." I thought but it just kept getting worse. I called the center to inform them that my driver had misinformed about my delivery and that I missed my package. The center said they would try to attempt redelivery and asked me for some information. I requested the center representative to mark on my record that if they couldn't redeliver to hold the package. The center rep agreed. She informed me someone would call me by 5:30 pm with outcomes. I told her I could be on the subway at that time and had her take an alternate number to my partner at home. I get home and check my phone and there are no messages. My partner said he got no call. I call UPS back again and have to hold for a representative. When I finally reach someone, they tell me to call another number of the local holding center which was unable to reach me. I advised them that I had given an alternate number to call, why had they not used it? I called the local hub only to be informed me they couldn't redeliver that day. I asked them to redeliver on another day and they said, "No, you'll have to pick it up." I tell them it was their mistake and why can't they just send it out for delivery again? Tia, the representative, says they can't and I'll have to pick up. I ask where I have to pick up and it's all the way in Carnasie (1 hour by bus). I sigh and say, "How many days do I have to pick up?" and Tia advised 5 days but that I now need to call the center BACK to arrange holding the package because apparently the rep didn't do it the first time I asked them to. This is when I started to become angry. But it kept getting WORSE. BACK TO being on hold with the center. I finally get a representative who does inform me that the first person I talked to the first time had failed to follow my request. Then she informs me that the pick up center IS NOT OPEN ON THE WEEKEND. So basically, I have to go out Carnasie AFTER I GET OFF WORK. I work in Manhattan. My commute home is an hour. I have to stop at home to let out my dogs. Then I have to truck an hour and back from Carnasie on a school night because my driver misinformed me. It will pretty much be my entire night. Then I'm on hold for a supervisor for 30 minutes. When they finally pick up, they can't hear me and hang up. Even though I gave the rep a call back number, no one calls back. I'm back in the hold *** waiting for a representative to pick up. If they don't put in a request to hold the package by 7 pm it will be sent back. Not only is UPS not helpful, they are EXPENSIVE in terms of your time. I have already burned a few hours on the phone with them and I will have to take a whole evening to go pick up my package and rectify this mistake. I will never ever use UPS and any business that uses UPS for shipping will be reconsidered and likely not used for the sheer inconvenience of the service.

UPS - $600 phone

My iPhone 5s screen cracked so I ordered a new one. It was one day shipping so I should've gotten it right away. However, that was not the case. The delivery guy left the package under my gate (or so that's what he reported) but I never received it. The whole "leaving a package at your door step if it doesn't require a signature" thing is ridiculous. They should always make sure that the package gets into the hands of the person the package is for. I am beyond frustrated with UPS. I now have to wait an extra 1-2 weeks for my package when it should have only taken 1-2 days... I am requesting another delivery service next time.

"They should always make sure that the package gets into the hands of the person the package is for." And that is how we get people on this site complaining that UPS only delivers during business hours when they are at work so they don't get their packages. You can't please everyone and it makes more sense to leave a package than to make people go without/deliver packages when everyone is home resulting in deliveries at 10PM.
