UPS in Apple Valley, California - Unable to accept signature required delivery because no one at home.

In this day and age, what significance does signature required carry? I ordered from a vendor who states UPS delivery, signature required. That's never been a problem before, the UPS driver just leaves a note if no ones around or calls me. I missed 3 attempts to delivery, never notified by UPS. Signature required is definitely not proof of delivery. Don't people have jobs? Who is going to stay home 24 hours a day, everyday, just to accept a package. As customer service was no help, I was forced to call UPS and have them return a package to sender and lose $280 because no one could be present to sign for it and the hours of the UPS distribution center are basically 8-5 M-F.

Usually ups will leave a tag telling you to come pick the package up or as an alternative, sign the spot on the tag and leave it for the driver the next day as an authorization to leave the package if you won't be there.

You dumb *** mother ***!

First of, signature was required due to the high value of the item and that was requested by the company where you ordered this from! Secondly, if you know you're working the whole week, and this we can't really understand, UPS doesn't force you to skip a work day.

So if you're ordering online or whatever, why don't you just have it delivered to your work address so you can get it? That so ***' simple.

For us anyways. unlike you, we tend to use our brain for something worthwhile!

What hours do people expect UPS to deliver a package? This is a constant complaint but unless you want a package delivered at 10PM UPS works within normal business hours.

Now I realize you work in normal business hours too but if you want to blame anyone blame the shipper who put signature required. Truly though I wouldn't blame them either because they simply want to make sure the package gets to you and they don't get ripped off. Try having packages delivered to your work, a neighbor who you know will be home, work out some other option. Because this is certainly not UPS fault.

They were told do not deliver unless someone signs for it, so that is the rules they have to work in. (By the way, in looking for solutions I would not suggest getting a PO Box as UPS will not deliver to PO Boxes)

UPS in Calgary, Alberta - Maintenance Defect on one of your vehicles - step van 570482

My name is Frank Shreenan and I was following the above vehicle north on the Deerfoot Trail in Calgary, Alberta for about 2 miles at approximately 3:30 pm today, August 1st/2014. I was about 4 vehicles behind the UPS vehicle. Your vehicle was being well driven but whenever the driver accelerated there was a cloud of black smoke which almost obliterated the vehicle immediately behind him. I am not sure what fuel you ordinarily use but based on this one I would guess coal. I assume this was a one time mechanical issue but in an attempt to minimize pollution I wanted to bring it to your attention. Thanks. (403 590 0200) I am not a "pissed consumer" but in order to submit this I had to agree to your 'terms of service' (which I haven't read) I'm just trying to help but contacting you company has been a challenge.

UPS trucks use diesel. Diesel causes black exhaust.

(Just watch the same exhaust billow out when a semi truck starts moving).

This is not a maintenance issue. This is an issue of using diesel.

I do agree however diesel sucks with regards to the environment and companies should be looking for other solutions.

UPS - Review

I had a driver speed down our dead end street that has a blind turn. I yelled at him and he said he was only doing 20 there was NO way he was only doing 20, maybe 40 but not 20. Then on his way back through he said again that he was only doing maybe 22, that he has an odometer and could see, I told him there was no way. I also, had witness that saw how fast he came down our street. I have his truck # and license plate.

UPS - Returned Item(s) to shipper

So I have a business that is not yet open and ordered 12 items being delivered as 6 items by ups. After the first two delivery attempts I call to ask them to just hold the items at the main depot so I could pick them up I was informed that they could not hold the items 2 days later I get notice that the items are being returned to sender. At this point in my life I've had a lot of items shipped to me by various companies the only company I've ever had problems with is UPS. oh and their customer service is terrible.

UPS Lies and Lame excuse!

UPS promised, and I paid for it as such (US$230) to be delivered the next day. I tracked the shipment, on the net, till it was ready for the final leg at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, but it was delayed till after the weekend. At first UPS lied to me and said it was delayed at the Canadian Customs but after I proved her wrong she e-mail me stating: ((... Any package that arrives after 10:00 a.m. "p.m. she meant, I guess!" at the destination facility is unable to go out that same day, ..))!! I still keep copies of the "tracking record and their e-mail! A. AlGahtani +1(813)735-0061

Absolutely poor customer service. Ordered package on a Saturday and paid $25 for next day air delivery, which would mean Tuesday delivery. On Tuesday morning tracking information indicated package was scanned out for delivery as of 6:24 am. Called UPS 800 customer...

I had the exact same problem with their call Centre. they said they were in the south Pacific.

they gave me no concrete info, said I would get callbacks which I never did and all gave the same scripted responses. "I understand your frustration" has to be my favorite. I finally called in an EIGHTH time and said I wanted to talk to someone in North America. The girl said there was no one to transfer me to but she'd "be happy to try to help me".

After assuring her UPS must have at least one employee in North America and repeatedly saying "I don't want to talk to you, no one there can help me, I want to be transfered to someone in North America" she finally transferred my call to a guy on Canada. He looked into things and the call Centre idiots had been sending messages that didn't make sense to THREE different UPS dispatch centers in Ontario.

not only did they not correct the issue, they made it worse! supposedly my delivery is rescheduled for next week but I have my doubts....

UPS in Ridgewood, New York - Set up to fail

UPS is a mismanaged corporation. They push their people to the absolute limit and then kick them when they are down. The job can't be done properly with their expectations and unrealistic workloads. Very few of their employees are loyal to the company but at the same time are very loyal and appreciate their customers. We know it is the customer that puts food on our table. UPS delivers nothing but misery to the thousands of people that work there. It would probably be incorrect to blame drivers solely for an undelivered package and dishonest recording of a delivery attempt. The driver was most likely following the instruction of incompetent management and a failed technology system that attempts to remove all human thought out of all processes of all UPS workings. You could not even begin to grasp the system they use. It will tell you up is down and left is right but you are forced to follow it. Probably because they spent countless millions on its development so now they will ram it down your throat.....you all thought last Christmas was bad.......the future could be much worse.

Havent received delivery and UPS is saying they have delivered to my address

I believe UPS is the worst courier service i have ever met. Ordered some product from TOMMY HILFIGER and got an email from them saying it will be delivered by UPS. I waited for my delivery date at home and when I checked online tracking system, its written delivered and collected. I was very much surprised as I never got a ring bell in my flat. called up twice to customer service and both time they confirmed that it has been delivered to my address. Its been two full days since UPS has updated their system saying its been delivered and I havent received my product yet. I dont understand why these big companies like TOMMY HILFIGER dont want to use ROYAL MAIL which I believe is much better than UPS. Still waiting for my product and only god knows when i will receive my product. totally rubbish UPS

UPS in Chicago, Illinois - Poor attempts at delivery and poor customer service.

I missed by first two delivery attempts because I was at work. That's fine. One the third and final attempt, I stayed at home all day, waited a few hours outside on the curb for the driver, and I even signed the back of the second delivery slip so that the driver could just leave the package by my door. I still did not get my package. I contacted their online live chat support explaining what happened, and they said that a customer service representative will reach out to me in the morning. In the morning, they called and let it ring two times before hanging up. I wasn't able to get to the phone in just two rings, but that's fine. I tried calling back immediately, but the line was busy. I attempted to call back ten more times with no luck. This is going to be the last time that I will ever have anything shipped through UPS. If I am trying to order something online that requires UPS shipping, I simply will just not complete my order and walk away. I mean, what's the difference between having it shipped by UPS and not buying the item? You won't get the package either way.

UPS - Driver lied that he attempted delivery

I ordered a Microsoft Surface 3 Pro with 2 day delivery from Microsoft. I needed this to present to 1300 teachers in my local school system - picking between Surface or iPad. I spent an extra $9.99 to have delivery by Tuesday, July 29th and I was at home eagerly awaiting the delivery. The truck never drove by or stopped, and the tracking number said they attempted delivery at 7:42 - which was the time I was outside watering my grass! No trucks ever came by. The driver wanted to go home early because UPS overworks their help.... But at the detriment to customer service.
