UPS is 100% Better than the USPS
I have all my packages delivered via UPS whenever possible. While I have had a few problems with UPS, they have shown to be 100% better than our USPS. Private enterprise is more accountable than any government agency and UPS has many employees that have been there 10, 20 or more years so they are dedicated. No govt slackers there. FedEx is also better than our USPS but they do not compare in service to UPS. I wish we could have UPS compete with FEDEX for regular mail delivery because Im sure private companies would be more efficient and lower cost than the USPS- the USPS loses BILLIONS of dollars and UPS makes millions because of better service.
So I ordered a package from within California, about two hours away from where I actually live and the package was supposed to take two days max to get to me. Ups decided to send it to Arizona instead. It's now been 5 days and it's still in Arizona. Beyond annoyed.
UPS in Toronto, Ontario - Lied about delivery attempt
I was waiting the whole day on August 15 for my package. Nobody buzzed me (I live in an apt) even though the buzzer number was included in the address I provided. At around 5:15 pm, I checked the tracking info again. To my surprise, the tracking information indicated that someone attempted to deliver the package but that the customer was unavailable! I went down and there were two info notices downstairs and no UPS truck in sight. For sure the UPS guy (MOHAMOND) who attempted the first delivery have done this numerous times before. He'll just post the info notice without trying to contact the customer. I expected this kind of shenanigan from Canada Post but not UPS. Very disappointed with UPS!
Ups - Pick Up Service Review
I have had the WORST customer service experience with UPS. Let me tell you how awful they are at working with the customer. Earlier today I received a notification that UPS had attempted to deliver a package. This particular package requires a signature. I called UPS and told them no one would be able to accept the package on Monday and can they 1) deliver it tomorrow-Saturday or 2) drop it off at a UPS location near my home? I was told that I can "meet up" with the Driver and get the package. At 1:19 pm I received a call from "Joey" who told me to meet the driver on Bennett St in 20 minutes. I asked Joey what the cross street was and he didn't know..so I guess I just look for the Big Brown Box on wheels!! Well, after sitting for an hour...no driver to be found. I called UPS again at approx 2:20 pm...I was told to please hold while they call the Hub. The excuse I was given is *** the driver was at lunch and someone would call me right back. Guess what??? No call..now my 3rd call at 4:30 pm. After being on hold for over 22 minutes I was told by the supervisor yet the driver had 30 more deliveries and he would make another stop at our house. The supervisor so as this would be between 6 and 6:30 pm. We got home at 5:30. I checked the front door and he had not shown up yet. At 7 there had not been a knock at the door or the doorbell...so I checked. This time there was note at the door...he showed up and didn't even bother to notify us he arrived... Now that I am totally pissed off...I hold for another 20 minutes to get a supervisor on the line. She accidentally connects all 3 of us together with the supervisor at Hub in Sylmar. Not realizing I am on the line..the hub supervisor says "what does he expect us to do? He can come pick it up!" You know what I expect? I expect web a commitment is made..you keep your commitment. I asked the supervisor what time the driver came by? He said at 9:42 am..I asked about this evening?? And he told me there he didn't record it...I asked if that is standard practice? The supervisor said they don't record everything! I find that hard to believe.. I ask the Supervisor for his name and he said "Eddie" (spelling). I asked for his employe ID number...he refused and said He is the only Eddie. I asked again..and he said not for you..he told me not to raise my voice, otherwise he would hang up..Eddie-the word is empathy!! Try to empathize with the Customer..apologize...even if it's not your fault. Apologize on behalf of all the company... I know there is nothing you can do..and I know at the end of the day I'm driving to Arleta..but Eddie...I am the customer and I am supposed to be right! You need to go back to training Eddie!! You suck at Customer Service! I admit, I was angry and pissed off..but this individual continued to antagonize me...not once apologizing for the mistake made by his driver. I asked him to have the package delivered on Saturday...he said it was too late..that Saturday was already set up. Which I find hard to believe. At the end of the day..6 hours of wasted time...I still have to drive to Arleta to get my package. Where has the customer in Customer Service gone? Obviously with UPS it's not with the customer...this is not the first time I have experienced this with UPS, and it won't be the last I am sure. Brown really loves up to the color!!!
Ups - Parcel Delivery Review
Horrendous experience with UPS, also took a day off work after not getting the first delivery even tho I had given contact info and instructions to leave with a neighbour who was home they didn't even try, waited home all day using a days annual leave thry didn't turn up. Cudtomer services was clueless and gave no info about how we could resolve me getting my parcel. Thry can't contact their drivers and seem to assume nobody works and we have nothing else to do. In future if I buy something that is coming via UPS I would cancel the order.
Ups lied about delivery attempt
I ordered a spare laptop for college, which starts soon for me. Needing it for schoolwork but not finding any good deals in store, I opted to order online. The delivery date should have been today, however no package arrived, with the ups site stating that a delivery attempt was made but that there was no response. It seems the driver was lazy and refused to even pull up to my house. I've been home all day and not a whisper was heard. Useless lies. If I had known my package would be shipped by them I would have given that order a miss.
Ups - Delivery Service Review
Send an item for seccond day delivery. Baked goods I send to my nephew while he's away at school. From California to Minesota. We tracked the package and at first it said lost so we called to find out the agent said 'oh no its on the truck being delivered' so I ask then why does it said lost on the tracking website ...she gave me the same response. ' It's on the truck'..so I ask her to double check ..she didn't want to and gave me the same answer ..it's on the truck. Ups..your customer service is deplorable. .I spent 150$ to make sure my package get there in time. Why the $!*! Can you agent make an effort to help . That's their job isn't it?
Ups - Missed Contents Review
I sent a box from Dallas to Taos. It was heavy, over 13 pounds, and my friend who shipped it for me did not tape the bottom. So I can believe the bottom broke out on its own. What I cannot believe, is that confronted with a broken box, the UPS employee who taped up the box and sent it on, could have "lost" all the items from Italy and "found" to put back in the box all the used items from Target that were in there simply to keep the precious Italy stuff from shifting around. My friend reported the missing contents. I called but was not allowed to talk to anyone in Investigation. "Don't call us.we will call you." That was three weeks ago and no word from UPS
UPS in Calgary, Alberta - Package dropped with no signature
Ups dropped my package off on my door step with nobody home and didn't even check to see if anybody was home, the company that it was shipped from had a note send to ups to have the package signed for and they had just left the package which will sit there for a week with nobody home and none that can pick it up so now I can possibly be stolen. What if there was 1000 dollars sitting in that box they just threw on to my step. Terrible practice by this company and all they could tell me on the phone is we apologize, they couldn't even send a driver out to pick it back up so there wouldn't be a chance of someone stealing it like they don't have drivers all over the area . Come on off it change you policies and procedures customer service is a joke. This is the second time I had this happen now all all cost I will pay extra for another company to ship it to avoid using ups. I advise everyone to not take the chance with them it's not worth it there not going to help when your package is missing.
Ups - Box Delivery Review
UPS delivered a little box, that could have easily fitted in my mailbox, while I was away at the store. Instead, what they did was throw it into my front yard where my dog is. So, when I got home, I found pieces of cardboard everywhere on the yard. What if it was something important or harmful to my dog?? Unacceptable.
