UPS in Toronto, Ontario - Customs and Shipping charges were over half the cost
Was sending myself my own PC computer as I was moving from US->Canada. The cost to ship was $160. As I used my old box, I covered the old label and they put in the second one. Their incompetent worker scanned the covered up label and it got sent to the sorting center. They realized their mistake and shipped it back to me to clarify the details. THEY CHARGED ME AGAIN for $70 to reship it. At the address, they got ANOTHER CHARGE for $312. Customs and Brokerage fees. Bull *** ***. I have to pay for their own incompetence of an additional $70 and why the *** do I need to pay for the brokerage fees. Am I not paying them enough already to ship the *** item? I can understand the customs, except the *** overdeclared the value by 2x and so I had to pay more for that. Stay away from UPS, they're extortionists and robbers. They also misquote you and provide a bunch of lies. I called them and I don't believe have of the *** that they pulled through. Piling on all these *** charges and the customer service representative wasn't any better.
UPS in Chicago, Illinois - Delivery was supposed to be for today, but the driver made an error and it got changed to tomorrow.
I paid for three-day shipping, and when I tracked my package on the UPS site, I was told that it was out for delivery. I waited the entire day, and even made several calls to Customer Support, only to be assured that the package would be in today, however, around eight o'clock pm, my package still hadn't arrived and when I called Customer Support, I was transferred to my local UPS centre, and told that the driver made a mistake regarding my package, and so it wouldn't be delivered till tomorrow. What on Earth was that extra charge for then? The fact that they couldn't even bloody deliver it on time. Useless company. *** delivery service.

UPS - Delayed Shipment!!!
My books that I bought online on barnes and nobles supposed to be delivered today according to my receipt!! The sender had already processed the shipment 3 days ago. My books should be delivered within 1-3 business days. Today is the 3th day, and the ups haven't ship anything. I checked my tracking status, and it said the ups haven't made a delivery date!!! I really need my books now because classes will start tomorrow!!!! There's no problem with barnes and nobles, its just the ups shipment is delayed!!!!!!! Every 30 mins I checked my ups account, but there's no any updates about the shipment date!!!
UPS - Slow service
I had a package delivered from Ohio to Las Vegas via Fed Ex I had another package delivered from Florida to Las Vegas via UPS. I paid $19.00- Fed Ex I paid $29.00- UPS Each package weighed the same 4lbs. Fed Ex just delivered. UPS my package is in California, set for delivery tomorrow. Thanks ups for ruining an 80 year old mans birthday!! It is very obvious who the superior carrier is. Kim Helm I tried to even get the address switched to the party address and was put on hold a number of times, just to have nothing come of it.
UPS is 100% Better than the USPS
I have all my packages delivered via UPS whenever possible. While I have had a few problems with UPS, they have shown to be 100% better than our USPS. Private enterprise is more accountable than any government agency and UPS has many employees that have been there 10, 20 or more years so they are dedicated. No govt slackers there. FedEx is also better than our USPS but they do not compare in service to UPS. I wish we could have UPS compete with FEDEX for regular mail delivery because Im sure private companies would be more efficient and lower cost than the USPS- the USPS loses BILLIONS of dollars and UPS makes millions because of better service.
So I ordered a package from within California, about two hours away from where I actually live and the package was supposed to take two days max to get to me. Ups decided to send it to Arizona instead. It's now been 5 days and it's still in Arizona. Beyond annoyed.
UPS in Toronto, Ontario - Lied about delivery attempt
I was waiting the whole day on August 15 for my package. Nobody buzzed me (I live in an apt) even though the buzzer number was included in the address I provided. At around 5:15 pm, I checked the tracking info again. To my surprise, the tracking information indicated that someone attempted to deliver the package but that the customer was unavailable! I went down and there were two info notices downstairs and no UPS truck in sight. For sure the UPS guy (MOHAMOND) who attempted the first delivery have done this numerous times before. He'll just post the info notice without trying to contact the customer. I expected this kind of shenanigan from Canada Post but not UPS. Very disappointed with UPS!
Ups - Pick Up Service Review
I have had the WORST customer service experience with UPS. Let me tell you how awful they are at working with the customer. Earlier today I received a notification that UPS had attempted to deliver a package. This particular package requires a signature. I called UPS and told them no one would be able to accept the package on Monday and can they 1) deliver it tomorrow-Saturday or 2) drop it off at a UPS location near my home? I was told that I can "meet up" with the Driver and get the package. At 1:19 pm I received a call from "Joey" who told me to meet the driver on Bennett St in 20 minutes. I asked Joey what the cross street was and he didn't know..so I guess I just look for the Big Brown Box on wheels!! Well, after sitting for an hour...no driver to be found. I called UPS again at approx 2:20 pm...I was told to please hold while they call the Hub. The excuse I was given is *** the driver was at lunch and someone would call me right back. Guess what??? No call..now my 3rd call at 4:30 pm. After being on hold for over 22 minutes I was told by the supervisor yet the driver had 30 more deliveries and he would make another stop at our house. The supervisor so as this would be between 6 and 6:30 pm. We got home at 5:30. I checked the front door and he had not shown up yet. At 7 there had not been a knock at the door or the doorbell...so I checked. This time there was note at the door...he showed up and didn't even bother to notify us he arrived... Now that I am totally pissed off...I hold for another 20 minutes to get a supervisor on the line. She accidentally connects all 3 of us together with the supervisor at Hub in Sylmar. Not realizing I am on the line..the hub supervisor says "what does he expect us to do? He can come pick it up!" You know what I expect? I expect web a commitment is made..you keep your commitment. I asked the supervisor what time the driver came by? He said at 9:42 am..I asked about this evening?? And he told me there he didn't record it...I asked if that is standard practice? The supervisor said they don't record everything! I find that hard to believe.. I ask the Supervisor for his name and he said "Eddie" (spelling). I asked for his employe ID number...he refused and said He is the only Eddie. I asked again..and he said not for you..he told me not to raise my voice, otherwise he would hang up..Eddie-the word is empathy!! Try to empathize with the Customer..apologize...even if it's not your fault. Apologize on behalf of all the company... I know there is nothing you can do..and I know at the end of the day I'm driving to Arleta..but Eddie...I am the customer and I am supposed to be right! You need to go back to training Eddie!! You suck at Customer Service! I admit, I was angry and pissed off..but this individual continued to antagonize me...not once apologizing for the mistake made by his driver. I asked him to have the package delivered on Saturday...he said it was too late..that Saturday was already set up. Which I find hard to believe. At the end of the day..6 hours of wasted time...I still have to drive to Arleta to get my package. Where has the customer in Customer Service gone? Obviously with UPS it's not with the customer...this is not the first time I have experienced this with UPS, and it won't be the last I am sure. Brown really loves up to the color!!!
