Ups is not honest!!!

1.0
Details
I spent $52.20 for 2lbs 2oz, which was first class mail international, on 1st August, and the store location is 10006 cross creek blvd in Tampa, Fl.I was told my mail will spend about 10 days to arrive, and am ok for the time. After 2 weeks, it had not arrived yet. I tracked online, and it said my mail already delivered to the Sender's home on 1st August, which is very confuse!!!! My mail came back on same day???? OK! The real story just started! I went to that ups store at least 7 times, their staff very loudly said they do not have any responsibility to my mail when it was picked by post office!!? I went to the ups store, but they gave me post office service?! I may careless on this point, but the staff still has their duty, they should told me that very clearly. Then , the ups let me go to the post office to check my mail. The post office super advisor answered that my mail was over weight, which it could not through to the international letters service !!!! It sounds the first step was wrong, the ups was wrong !!! But they denied that, they always repeat " no any responsibility"! Also said they change the new owner, they don't know what's happened before! At the same time, I found the ups charged $52.20, only $23.40 went to the post office. The ups got $29.80 agent fee!! and they can say "no any responsibility!" Of course, my mail will lost!!! Tooooo cheap way to international! Does this service can be existed long time? No place can redress it? Too arrogant!!! At least, return my mail, or reparation. But they said no to both!!

Not sure what you are trying to say.

I do not understand how UPS has any involvement with the U.S. Mail.

Your story is rather confusing!

@Walt

Am still confusing too! I went to the ups store to send international mail, very small box, later they told me my box was used by post office service..... And it lost up to 3 month, they said they don't care!

UPS in Queens, New York - Driver refuses to deliver, customer service is anything but helpful

1.0
Details
I have a package coming from the pet crematorium that requires signature. Someone is always home before 10:30 am and after 4:30 pm. driver refuses to deliver within that time frame and also refuses to leave the package with the signed authorization. This is the same driver who leaves $4k package carelessly on the floor to the building entrance, not even at apartment door. The customer service rep Zima can not help by making a note on the account asking to come to deliver after 4:30pm, and the supervisor Karen was rude and also said she can not do anything to help this. there is no alternative as i can not make it to some UPS holding facility

UPS in Cayucos, California - Still awaiting "overnight" delivery, three days later

Paid $28 on Saturday for UPS Next Day Air, and was assured package would arrive by 1030 on Monday (Nov 10th). I have been following the package closely, and in contact with UPS telephone support, UPS "live chat," and UPS email, since Monday afternoon. I get a variety of info from "it is on the truck and will be delivered by close of business on today (Monday)" to "we don't know why it is in West Sacramento, nor when exactly it will leave there for your destination." Now it's Wednesday, the parcel is still not delivered. I asked UPS twice on Monday "should I make up a facsimile package, and send it, too, because it is really important that these people get their papers on time." UPS told me "no," twice. So I didn't do it, and the clock keeps running ... ... ... I get it that accidents happen. But UPS need to communicate that there is something wrong so that the people who can do something to save the situation (in this case, ME) can make back-up plans. UPS did nothing of the sort, and my deal is going south because of them. I asked them to email the recipient, and explain that the hold-up was on their end, not the MY end, and thus far they have refused to help me in that way.

UPS in Montreal, Quebec - Worst possible service

1.3
Details
UPS lost my packages two months in a row. I used their own labels, the destination address was written three times on the box, and somehow two were delivered to some other addresses, and the third completely lost. The fourth and only box that did come back to me was destroyed, along with it's contents (almost as if it had been done on purpose). The tracking history was completely false, and everyone I spoke with at customer service told me lies and the investigation was only started two weeks after my original call. Whatever the insurance is on these packages, I lost a lot of money and had hours wasted. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!!! IF ANYONE NEEDS TO USE A SHIPPING COMPANY, USED FEDEX OR ANY OTHER SERVICE BUT never UPS!

Here's a few things you should know before taking any legal action. For one, UPS never asks for ID unless the signature required is an "adult signature required." Also, the person signing for the package does not have to be the one whose name is on the package; anyone can sign for any package.

As far as I can tell from your story, UPS has no liability in the matter, as they delivered the package exactly according to the instructions they were given.

If, however, you still try to get your money back, you need to contact the company you bought the original phone from. UPS has some "declared value" coverage with every package shipped, but the original shipper would have to file for that, and unless there were any additional "declared value" purchased, it would only cover up to $100, and only if the claim were accepted. Being that the package was delivered and signed for, it seems unlikely that they would pay, but you could try.

Either way though, there isn't any chance that you're going to get them to pay for the additional costs accrued via your buying a new phone and having it shipped to you.

At most, they would only be responsible for the original lost phone. Honestly, if any company is really at fault here, it's whoever sent you the first phone, since they would be the ones who didn't choose the correct service so that you received your phone.

UPS in Leatherhead, Surrey - Useless, Liars, Don't care about customers

3.0
Details
Took a day off for a delivery, waited all day, checked the parcel progress online it says "driver attempted delivery" I was home all day, my door bell works, called customer services all you get is a silly sorry, I'm afraid that doesn't give me my day holiday back. Arranged to pick up the parcel myself I do not trust their drivers, do not trust them, really angry at them right now. They do not care how many complain they get they will still get businesses. Hate this company. I will notify the seller that I use quite often not to use UPS again and stick to DPD otherwise he loses a customer. UPS=Trash

Lost product and the UPS response is = buy our insurance.

UPS has lost over $30,000 of our product this year. Not just late delivery but actually lost the product, and they take zero responsibility for how it could have happened or where it might be. Their answer? We need to purchase "their insurance" and pay them more money to cover their incompetence. Not only that, but the only affordable insurance would be a policy where I have to guess which package they will lose out of the thousands I ship and put insurance on that package. The only way to insure all my packages is to buy a blanket policy - which would put me out of business financially. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. Their attitude has been arrogance and indifference to our situation.

UPS "declared value" coverage really isn't going to break the bank in most cases, but if it's that much of an issue, why not just insure the packages through your own insurance company? I know that several companies I've worked with have outside insurance covering their items valued in the tens of thousands of dollars.

UPS in Kodiak, Alaska - Shipper useless

1.0
Details
Bought shipping and insurance from a business shipper on frozen fish and they wouldn't give use the tracking numbers and when one box of fish was lost within 2 miles from the business to the airport they didn't and said they didn't know how to file a claim form. After calling UPS claim dept, customer service, chamber of Commerce and a UPS supervisor to replace the package it took 3 months to get resolved. Shipper lied to use every time we called them. UPS doesn't have any special way of shipping frozen food and deliver guy just throughs the boxes at your door and leaves. I wouldn't use UPS to ship anything ever again. When UPS investigates a lost package they only let the shipper know what they find. The costumer never can find out anything for all the money you spend on shipping UPS. They are no one to use.

This sounds like the fault of the "business shipper" you used, not UPS. For one, there is a way to ship fish, as I've done it successfully on a few occasions; the best route to go is usually to overnight it with dry ice to keep it cold.

Second, and more importantly, you can't insure perishable goods. That's a basic when shipping UPS. So, whoever let you insure frozen fish basically scammed you as far as I can see.

Also, the fact that they wouldn't give you a tracking number screams scam as well. My advice is next time don't follow through if things seems off, or if you're not completely comfortable with how something is being handled.

UPS in North Miami Beach, Florida - My phone was suppose to be delivered between 10:00am to 2:00pm

I checked my package all day and there was no UPS to be found. I kept calling their customer service number, I remember my first call was at 5:45pm they told me to be patient it's still coming. 7pm came and went I still have not received anything. I decided to call back at 7:30pm the lady that I spoke to told me not to worry because the drivers don't go home until they deliver everything. 9:pm I called back and the guy who was assisting me told me that they were trying to dispatch the driver who had my package and they were not answering.I was on hold with UPS for approximately an hour just to speak to the supervisor. UPS is unprofessional and unreliable, and hire unprofessional employees and liars. If I used fedex none of that would've happened.People please DO NOT USE THEM!!!! I personally think the driver got lazy and went home without finishing delivering because when I track my package it's still shows as OUT For delivery. I asked the guy who was assisting me to transfer me to the supervisor. The lady came on the phone with a very nasty attitude after 45mins and she told me her name was Mildred # 1171508(Supervisor)
