Ups - Delivery Service Review from Oswego, New York

Ordered a package, delivery was attempted but needed a signature. So I signed the notice like it asked and left it on my door. Came home from working full time to see another notice. Called ups and they told me they can't leave it alone in an apartment. Very understandable but when I asked what my options were, I was told I needed to pick it up 40 miles away in one of their shipping facilities. Why would I pick something up that I paid to have delivered to me.... So when I asked what my other options were again, I was told I could pick my own day.... As long as it wasn't Saturday and fell between the designated work hours. So basically you can only order from UPS if you are a jobless hermit who sits in their house and waits all day for their packages. If you have a full time job, forget it. They won't cater to you.

UPS does not keep good records

I signed up with UPS for an account. I sent several packages in Dec. 2014 and paid each time via paypal. UPS says I owe them for charges that did not show up on paypal but each time I created a shipment I went to paypal and paid it right then. So even though they say they have a record that I sent a shipment, there is no record with UPS I paid it, even though I had to go through paypal to pay it and print a label. Now UPS says they have no record I paid and are charging me again, plus a late fee saying it had something to do with checking in as guest vs. registered account member...very confusing and it is up to UPS to get their interenet connections to pay pay correct.

EAch time you paid, you DID print a a copy of the transcation or a receipt after completing the transaction.

Your paypal acount shows transactions in the amount of each label you printed?

Your story is somewhat confusing, trying to figure it out.

UPS in Slough, Slough - Wasted days off, lies and an extortionate phone bill.

I took an unpaid day off work last month to stay home to receive a package. I was in all day and no one knocked, nor did I receive any notification that the driver tried. I was lied to by email that a delivery attempt was made. I called their "help" line only to be hit with an additional £40 on my phone bill this month. I recommend using someone else as a courrier or failing that get the sender to fling the package in the general direction and hope it finds it's way. Whether it does or doesn't arrive, it'll certainly cost less in the end.

UPS Sends collection agency

driver dropped off package while no one was home and did not collect shipping charges. after no word from UPS for 2 months a letter from a collection agency shows up and demands payment or action will be taken against me. they never tried to collect in the 2 months and then threaten action against me for no payment. I paid to prevent damage to my credit rating from this unscrupulous company. Because of this and many other bad experiences with this company I refuse to use this shipper ever again. I also sent an email to this company but I doubt they will respond as they never even tried to collect before sending the bill to collection agency

UPS in Westland, Michigan - Damaged the box so they just wouldn't deliver it.

I was waiting for an Amazon order but tracking said no one had been available to receive the package. The website said a notice had been left. I was home and no one tried to deliver anything, no notice was left. The next day the tracking said they would redeliver, but no one came. The website did not update, so the day after that I emailed Amazon. The next morning Amazon emailed to say they would look into it, and an hour later the UPS guy shows up, with my filthy crushed box that looks like a truck ran over it -- literally. He told me he couldn't deliver it like that so they were going to rebox it first, but then he was told there wasn't anything breakable. He then ran off before I could say anything. The contents were undamaged, but what the ***?!?! The box got destroyed, so they hid it for 3 days and lied and said I wasn't home to accept it. What were they planning on doing? Hope I just forgot about it? Or return it to sender? If they had eventually reboxed it and something WAS damaged inside, I would have blamed Amazon for sending me damaged goods, because the box would have looked perfect! A professional company would fess up to their mistake and deal with it promptly. A little child hides the broken box and pretends no one will notice!

Horrible company, horrible customer service. Paid extra for gaurenteed delivery, package never came called into customer service and I was told they were running late and to wait in the building of my lobby until the package arrives. 2 hours later called back again and was told no I was never getting it on the scheduled day and I may get it 2-3 days later, and who ever told me to wait in my lobby for the delivery gave me Wrong information. AVOID they are nothing but liar's who are completely unhelpful incompetent and will only let you down,

Worst customer service ever. No professionalism. I scheduled a pickup. the UPS person showed up 2 hours before the scheduled time. I wasn't ready with the package yet. He said he will come back at a specific time. He didn't show up at that time. Later when I checked with the customer service, they said that he showed up at some other time and he left. and UPS cannot pickup my package and I have to wait for 2 more days. When I insisted to talk to a manager, I was put on hold. As I write I am still waiting to talk to the manager. Its been 30 mins now and still counting. Worst experience you could get when you are relocating and stuff like this happens.
