UPS in Rochester, New York - Just plain WRONG!

Update:

THEY DID IT AGAIN! Same scenario but this time I put a larger sign on the door frame hoping the driver would see it coming down the hall (everyone else can.) I received a text message that my package was delivered at 10:30am.

I arrived home about 1pm and there sat my package, in the hall, by my door. I called UPS, voiced my complaint, and asked who signed for my packages since I was notified that they required one. "No signature was needed. It must be a glitch in the system".

Half an hour later, I received a call from the local UPS "supervisor" She told me that she would speak to the carrier.

I'm expecting a package today. We'll see how that goes!

For several days now, I have been receiving notices that my package would arrive today,1/15/2015 and required a signature. I took off work in order to be home when my package was delivered. There was a knock on my apartment door about 1pm. When I opened the door, my package there and the UPS guy was halfway down the hall. My complaints are # why was I told MANY times that a signature was needed when it obviously was not. #2 Why was my package left in the hall when I have a large sign on my door for deliveries to NOT be left in the hallway and if I was not home to please leave the package with my neighbor across the hall. UPS really sucked today!

I asked my secretary to send some keys to me from Virginia to Connecticut. Unfortunately, she sent the keys by UPS and requested a signature. UPS delivered, one day late, and because no one was available to sign, left a note, which was the correct procedure. I spoke to my secretary and she asked UPS to hold the package for pick-up by me. UPS told her the package would be held for the next five days. This morning, I called UPS (the phone-tree reminds me of fingernails on a chalk board) and confirmed that the package was at the distribution center. I drove 45 minutes to the center to be told, "Oops, the package was put on the truck. You can come back tonight or tomorrow." The window clerk was smarmy and uncaring. Needless to say, I was irate. My later conversation with a superior from the center did not go much better. A perfunctory apology, but no solution. I have instructed my secretary to toss out all of the UPS materials and to never again use UPS on my behalf.

UPS in Chardon, Ohio - Destroyed items after inspected

I had received a package from Italy come in today 1/15/15.The package to say in a nice way was DESTROYED when it was dropped off their was brown bag paper all around the box and when i called ups they told the package was inspected and i would have to say at least 30$ worth of items had been destroyed because ups doesn't allow any canned goods.When i opened the box there was none of the original packing peanuts or bubble wrap just broken glass and i had also received some chocolate but ups wasn't satisfied on ruining my day enough and i found wrappers opened and the chocolate was bitten into only one package of chocolate out of ten was not touched.If i had to rate my experiance from 1 to 10. 10 being the best i give it a -20 because my family spent 170$ to send it and were very angry once they called ups and where told that "you are lucky we did not fine you for the cost to search the box"!!!!! really

That sounds like a customs issue, not a UPS issue. Whenever foodstuffs of any kind are shipped internationally, they are thoroughly inspected by the recipient country's customs agents.What it sounds like happened is that several of the things shipped to you did not meet the US's standards and thus were destroyed.

With the open stuff, I'm not sure what to say, as I don't know the actual customs process, but if it was actually bitten into, then I would contact US customs to ask what happened.

Anyways, my point here is that it is extremely unlikely that UPS were the ones who did this to your package. It was almost certainly US Customs agents.

UPS in Reno, Nevada - Won't honor insurance I paid for.

Details
Radio transceiver badly damaged. Took package to UPS center. Cleck said okay and sealed packaged. Now UPS says it wasn't packaged right and won't pay the $800.00. I should have been told if package wasn't good enough and they should not have caused so much damage in any event. Also,I had received two letters saying they closed to claim file because they could not contact the business I sent it to. A lie as they never called or came by to see it. The business owner even sent them several pictures twice. Now after several weeks and many phone calls I oaid $48.00 to UPS to destroy my radio and now have nothing!!!!

UPS in Essex Junction, Vermont - Bait and Switch

On December 29, 2014 I paid for wrapping, boxing, insurance and delivery of 2 Bose 901 Series V speakers to a Dallas TX address. On January 6, 2015, they were delivered in damaged condition. Now UPS is demanding that I should have told the buyer to retain the original packaging and should have had the buyer provide me his phone number, and since I did not, the insurance is void. The packed it, they shipped it, they damaged it, and now they advise me after the fact that the insurance they took my money for is not useful. I have pictures of the damaged speakers and evidence they arrived damaged, but no one from UPS will accept the evidence as they say they have to see the original packaging. This is nothing less than bait and switch UPS style.

That is NOT bait and switch. Bait and switch is when they advertise something at a specific price but don't have any when you go to purchase, then try to sell you something more expensive.

UPS is careless

Second time now UPS driver has destroyed property. All have been recorded and uploaded to YouTube. First, driver pulled up as close as he could to our car and threw the package on the trunk. It was an internet router, and had the company's name on the box so it was obvious it was an electronic device. Follow up from UPS was good at first, I sent the man that oversees the drivers the YouTube link and he informed me that once something is on the internet, the driver is fired. With damage to my vehicle, having to have that fixed plus go through claims with my internet company, I didn't care. He should not have been careless and there are a lot of people who would do the job better. Fast forward 6 months, the contract driver is STILL contracted with them, he has a shady white van that has been in several accidents and is easily spotted in the neighborhood. Today, a driver walked up to my home and knocked over my flower pot that was in a holder in the yard in front of my bushes while carelessly walking and wailing around the bags in his hand (it was clothes). The whole thing fell over and landed in the walkway to my door, shattering and leaving dirt everywhere. He drops the bags and steps over the mess like it didn't even happen. I thought I would use my cameras for catching an intruder but obviously it's been mostly used for catching UPS drivers holding up the business name.

UPS does not use white vans, or contract drivers.

Will have to see the video to find out just WHO was the delivery company you are complaining about.

UPS in Stouffville, Ontario - Can't seem to get the delivery scheduled after 7 phone calls and two days missed work

Recieved a notice that my item (2 packages) would be delivered Jan 7, took the day off work, Jan 7 arrived, email said severe weather had delayed the delivery (we did not have severe weather that day), called to arrange delivery for Jan 13, next day I could reschedule my work, arrived home Jan 8, delivery notice, ( had called Jan 7 to schedule delivery for Jan 13, called again to make sure delivery would be Jan 13 and was assured yet they could not send an email or give a confirmation order, got home Jan 9....delivery notice 2nd attempt, called again and said this had been scheduled for Jan 13 and was again assured it would arrive.....both packages on Jan 13. Got home from work on Jan 12 and had another delivery notice final attempt. Called again was completely assured that packages would arrive Jan 13. Got up Jan 13 and received email that one package was being held to have the delivery rescheduled. Called again.....message was sent to dispatch....dispatch called. One package was to be delivered shortly and the other would be delivered the next day.....I will not be here Jan 14 and still have not received the first package......WILL NEVER EVER USE OR BUY ANY PRODUCT THAT USES THIS DELIVERY SERVICE. Not sure I will get my product......or might get one and not the other package....which renders the first useless. AGAIN WILL NEVER EVER USE OR BUY ANY PRODUCT THAT USES THIS DELIVERY SERVICE. Cost more than the product I bought in lost wage.

WARNING!! The man at this office curses you out " You can come up here and suck it" were his exact words! Please know this is not UNITED PARCEL, it's just a store that sells UPS items. QVC gave me a refund when I told them what happened to me. I was very uneasy to go pick this item up. I called back to the 304-768-8787 to ask for his name because he said he was the boss he said his name was " Barack Hussein Obama". He is such a coward he was afraid to give me his real name.
