UPS in North Providence, Rhode Island - "Severe Weather Conditions" = Smokescreen

Snowed in RI on Monday...not terrible but fairly messy. Package scheduled for Tuesday delivery re-scheduled (understandably) for Wednesday. Didn't arrive Wednesday. Didn't arrive Thursday. Didn't arrive Friday. Latest message says Monday delivery "may" be further delayed, all due to "severe weather conditions beyond their control". Mind you, there has been no severe weather since Feb 2. Clearly, UPS in Rhode Island is suffering from a complete breakdown of their already-inefficient delivery system and are apparently running about a week behind, while the company and its customer service people hide behind the "severe weather" excuse. One of the most disingenuous companies still in business.

I totally agree with you !!! UPS has NO customer service..

Also Getting they next day and next day.my parcel has been in there warehouse since Jan30 .

but will be delivered for sure ''again """ on the Feb 9.and they can't even use a storm story although we are getting 5cm of snow so Monday del not looking good. ....

UPS in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania - Lied about shipping charges

I bought a special wheelchair and called them with the dimensions. Oh yeah we can ship it for $350. Ok so I call when the person brought in. Well they gave me a $500 bill!! $75 for one box!! I had to because the person i bought from is in a wheelchair and I tink they took advantage of us. Shame.....i know it was a quote but to charge me more then $100 is digusting. I paid for insurance because my husband was a driver and I know they have kicked, thrown and threw packages before because their drivers dont care.

The estimate can only be given based on the info you give them.

Once they have the real numbers (size and weight) then you get accurate price.

None one can give an accurate $ amount based in what a customer says (plumber, painter, carpet installer, roof replacement) they have to see the actual diensions to know the exact price.

That is why it is called an ESTIMATE!

UPS doesn't understand what fragile means.

Had a deliver come to me yesterday, that I had spent the day inside my house waiting for - because UPS sent me an email saying that my package had to be signed for. I was making dinner when I saw the UPS truck pull up outside my house, so I got ready to answer the door. I saw the driver walk down our driveway, stand there for a second and then turn around. I figured that he just did the old trick that most UPS drivers do, and when they don't see any sign of someone being home (a car in the driveway) they just leave and say that no one was there to sign. I quickly rushed to get my winter jacket and boots on to tell this guy that there was in fact someone home, and I wanted my package. I walked out my back door and was just about to open our gate and yell at him, when I looked up. My package that was marked with a big orange FRAGILE sticker was sitting on top of our seven foot fence. Instead of coming to the door and knocking, the driver decided to ignore the fragile sticker and put the package up on its side and let it balance there until someone came out to take it. I've already emailed UPS about this, because I'm not impressed. We'll see if they do anything.

Details
They put 3 sticky notes on a Friday, saying they had attempted to deliver 2 times before. Liars and unethical company. They should not be in business. I read the other reviews and they say very similar things. Its unacceptable service... or lack there off. I called them to have the situation rectified but they said that there was absolutely nothing that they can do. I was on the phone for 30minutes waiting to speak to someone that I could officially present my complain and no one ever got back to me. I am very dissapointed and this is not the first time this has happened

this is regarding UPS Dartmouth location in Mass. workers will lie and say they attempted to deliver but don't bother to leave a slip to prove it. Neighbors have seen them drive by without stopping. The whole three strikes delivery is awful. basically if they slack the first two times, you have to really try hard to catch them in the area on the third day. i don't mind if they couldn't deliver due to time constraints or the weather, just be honest about it and don't create a situation where my package gets sent back to the vendor. oh, and the people who work at the office as rude and condescending. they refuse to hear you out

UPS Bedfork Park, Illinois. Second time in the last 6 months the driver put "first attemt made" while he has never showed up in front of my door!!!! I was at home waiting for him. That's what you get when you hire everyone without screening and proper interview. One star, from now in only FedEx.

Me again called ups at one pm today said package is on it way will be there for sure! Then received call at 3 asked if I got package replied no asked too speak too manager she said no need .

received a phone call at 537 asking if I received package said NO told her i was pissed because I'm 23 k from there depot , she then asked me if there was anyway I could drive too there depot and pick up package unbelievable!!!!! Again asked for manager said they would call me back wright away, well its been over three hour's so guessing not.

But the good news is there going del package on Monday 9/2015 omg here we go again!!!!! Should have gave the package too the chinese place I order from they just moved here don't speak English but know how too use a GPS

UPS is The worst company I have ever dealt with expected package from amazon (express guaranteed 3 day ) Monday 1/3/2015 no parcel called said they had wrong Addy,told them its right Addy,said sorry be there on Tues,Tuesday said couldn't find aaddy and need ME too give directions!wedsi would receive wends,weds no package, said because I only gave them directions day before would be thurs.,Thurs no package said it would be tomorrow, because there subing it too Purolator holding my breath.I know ups is a small company they only made 1.7 Billion last year,I realize my Addy is new only built 68 years ago.they should try some of the brand new technology, like Google map's or this brand new thing called GPS both of which my Addy is on.I just wondering how they find there way home when they get off work.!!!!! PS (Amazon did a great job trying too help me even they couldn't get anywhere they refunded Del cost )

UPS in Louisa, Virginia - Returned my Package, charged me return and reship

The address was correct, in fact it was to a government facility in New Boston, Texas which is a part of Texarkana. A government person gave me the address, with a Texarkana zipcode. They said it delivers like that all the time even from UPS. But because of the technicality they shipped it back to me anyway. An I even called them, and talked to a customer rep, I explained what happened. Even though, they realize the situation, he just didn't care and said I would have to pay all of the fees before redelivery. I expect to pay the shipping back out, but he really could have waived the return ship fee. I ended up paying well over $300 for the first time to ship out, the shipping back to me, and them me having to reship on 2 boxes. It is crazy. Next time I will use FedEx, at least they care about their customers.

UPS in Browns Lake, Wisconsin - I sent art work for an art competition that arrived damaged. The 50$ Insurance will not begin to cover it. An appraiser would cost more.

Packed was very well packed with bubble wrap and cardboard. It looked as though the truck driver ran it over. Also, I just saw anUPS truck delivery ing a package at the end of a road He hung the package on the outside of the mailbox. This is on a very busy road where many people will travel. The service is supposed to be delivered to a persons door not a mailbox on a busy road. In addition, a co-worker sent a care package to her daughter that she said arrived severely damaged and items were missing. What is happening to the quality of this service?

UPS in London, England - Absolutely terrible service. Still not got my pakage

They texted me to say they were delivering last Thursday. I knew I wouldn't be in so tried the online tool to change the delivery date. That was a a mistake. Wasted an hour trying to get the site to work and then gave up. Came home to a card on Thursday saying it had been left in my local pick up point. Normally not an issue but this package is 10kg, large and I am seven months pregnant. I called ups on Friday and asked them to redeliver on the following Tuesday's. I waited in and it didn't turn up. When I hadn't heard anything at all by 11am I called up. The call centre said it was not down for delivery but said they would message the depot who would call me in an hour. Four and half hours later (and three more phone calls from me) I finally got a call saying they would add it to the delivery drivers list and get it delivered. I waited in all day till 7pm when it still had not arrived. I called them again and they were really rude and unhelpful and said they had not explanation for why it hadn't been delivered and would arrange for redelivery the next day. However, like most people I haver to go to work and couldn't be in again. I now have no idea when I will get my package and will probably have to wait in for a whole extra day to get it and even then they probably won't turn up. Perhaps I should pay another delivery company to pick it up for me????? I'm 200 pound down for the item I have paid for which ups refuse to deliver. They are rude, unhelpful, unresponsive, and completely unable to deliver. Which is the only thing they are meant to do. Utterly useless. Message to ALL suppliers. Use dpd or Royal Mail instead. Please.
