UPS in Portsmouth, Portsmouth - Failed to deliver at all

UPS failed to deliver a package from their depot in Exeter to an address in Honiton, claiming they couldn't find it. I made 6 phone calls to this company giving them exacting directions and they still couldn't deliver. A customer service representative from UPS suggested that I travel from my home in Portsmouth, Hampshire to the Depot in Exeter, pick the package up and deliver it myself to the address in Honiton. This would have been a 260 mile round trip for me! But guess what, they thought this was a perfectly acceptable alternative. I replaced the order with Parcelforce and it was delivered promptly the following day!

UPS - Lazy Delivery

Normally, I'm very patient with delivery services; after all, they are doing something for us that we do not have to do, and I almost never ever complain. I'm a very small person, only 60 inches tall (5 feet). And the past 20 or so deliveries to my home, all of them have been left in my driveway, including furniture that clearly says it needs 2 people to lift. That box was almost as tall as I was. That was the worst of it. Now they are leaving boxes stamped heavy in the middle of the driveway, never knocking, ringing, anything. I'd only know they were here from my dogs if I'm home. This is so incredibly straining on me, and by no means would I consider myself a lazy person. One thing you never want to come home to after work is 5 heavy boxes in your driveway at night so you can't even park. I've taken a habit of looking before I even pull up because I've almost hit some of my parcels. I've never had a delivery company do that before. Honestly, it's just them being lazy. Not to mention, a few years back, I wasn't able to sign for my engagement ring because it could have been a deadly weapon, or a small gun, in his own words.

If you order *** online, you have to realize the shipping commitment ends at your doorstep. Ups isn't gonna bring it into your house nor do they have to help you get it inside

How does UPS stay in business?!?

Ordered 5 things from Target in one order but they shipped via two shipments. The first arrived just fine, the second, shipped two days later WITH THE SAME EXACT SHIPPING ADDRESS was returned to sender by UPS with an incomplete address tag. I called to find out why it wasn't delivered and was told the driver couldn't locate the house and asked me to verify the address. You *** kidding me? It was the same exact location a more competent drive found just fine two days prior. They tried to deliver it at 9:00 in the morning, I noticed it at 11:00 the same morning. They said they would try to intercept the package and deliver it the next day. I looked on the tracking info the next day and they sent it back to the shipper?! Luckily Target's customer service was better than UPS and they shipped another one discounted because of UPS. Let me just tell you, not the first time UPS has messed up and all they did was say "sorry, we'll get it delivered asap."

UPS in Santa Fe, New Mexico - Laughably Incompetent

Details
I sent a critical original film to my office as an overnight package because time mattered. UPS lost it. They only had to get it 50 miles and it's been over a month. The contents had no monetary value but it was critical medical information, and at the time I sent it I believed it to be the only film in existence. The delay was embarrassing for both me and my employer and cost a family a great deal of anguish. When we realized UPS had lost it, I spent nearly 8 hours to locate alternate films and then drove 275 miles to hand deliver them to my employer. Because UPS had bollixed things so badly, I lost a day of my time trying to rectify their bungle. They sent me a claim form. The form would be funny if it wasn't so sad. They managed to misspell my first name, my last name, my address number, the street name and printed got the name of the town wrong! We are talking "Rome" rather than "Vallecitos". There is no such place as Rome, NM. They did manage to get the name of the state and the zip code right. Since I am friends with the post mistress, I miraculously received this laughably inaccurate claim form. After leaving me on hold for half an hour today, I am told by a supervisor that the only thing they can offer is to refund the price of the original overnight letter. Needless to say, this is the last time I will use UPS for anything important.

UPS in Calgary, Alberta - WORST shipping experience

1.0
Details
UPS was a headache from the moment of pick up, to drop off. As the shipper and receiver (I moved from one address to another), I am horrified with their service and would not recommend them to anyone. The driver came out of my quoted time frame and still took my boxes anyways, and left only 4 tracking numbers on my receipt when I had FIVE boxes. I can't begin to explain how difficult it was over the phone to try and figure out the missing tracking number. (So basically one box was not registered at all, yet, it had been taken.) My roommate watched him roughly throw my boxes into the truck, and low and behold, when my boxes arrived at my new address there was damages in every box. I spent over an hour on the phone going from supervisor to supervisor trying to make a complaint about my experience and the damages, and their solution? "We'll send someone to pick up all of the damaged items from you so we can conduct an investigation". Well, personally I don't feel comfortable with that at all. Some things are damaged yes, but still 'usable', and even the things that are damaged are personal, and irreplacable items, so I will keep fragments of them as they as such meaningful items. And why, should I, a customer who has had nothing but a horrific experience with the handling of my items, place these meaningful, personal items back into the hands of the company that damaged them. In the end, I was told that they could then do nothing for me and would not even be able to record my complaint as without the evidence they can't make a file. All I wanted was for someone, somewhere to make a note about my experience, and act like they cared just a little. All in all I feel absolutely disgusted. Also, not to mention, I onyl booked with UPS (and cancelled a Purolator reservation) because when I made the reservation I gave my box weights and dimensions and was given a final cost. I was told I'd pay at pick up by card, yet they needed my credit card number on file. Since he came and took my boxes when I wasn't home, I called after to pay via phone, and was told they would charge the final amount to my card which they had on file instead. When I asked to confirm the value of $427.32 which I was originally told, she informed me that that was actually just an estimated quote, and I would not know the value until my billing statement was processed. I said I wasn't informed that that was a quote but was told that was the shipping amount for my boxes based on my given weights and dimensions. I've now had my boxes for over 3 days, in total a week has passed, and I still have yet to be charged anything, and no one in billing can tell me anything about what this will be costing me. I would honestly not recommend this experience to anyone, this has been a week of headaches, and as I've been informed, I probably still will not even know for another week - I've been told to 'call back in 5 days to see if my invoice has been created yet. I wish that I'd never cancelled with Purolator and chose UPS instead.

Ups - International Shipping Review from Laval, Quebec

1.0
Details
I didn't choose to use UPS I ordered a shipment from USA to canada and the shipper sent it by UPS. UPS charged me almost 35% the price of what I bought on brokerage fees. Did they ask me if I wanted them to assign me one? Did they tell me what is the fees and if I accept to pay it? Sure they didn't. UPS expect you to pay any amount they charge you when the delivery guy shows up at your door. I found out that I could do the release of my package myself free of charge. I guess something most be done to stop them from taking decisions on your behalf specially when they charge you this percentage from the price of your shipment. If I have the choice concerning any other shipment I would never choose UPS.

UPS in New York, New York - THE WORST DELIVERY PEOPLE!!!!

2.3
Details
They either lie and say they tried to deliver a package while I'm home AND THEY DIDNT or they press the bell of my 10 apartment domicile and leave my package unattended in the lobby. I and other residents have asked them to get it together. No one wants to complain but they are truly LAZY and apathetic. It is truly annoying and too many packages disappear this way. UPS is losing a lot of business and I have always supported and defended them because I've known a few stellar UPS workers but as they say... A FEW BAD APPLES.. I'm telling you, their Bad apples have outnumbered the Good ones at this point.

Ups delivery

My boss had a package delivered to our office in his name. Not only did the UPS brainiac deliver it to the wrong address, he also left a sticker at the wrong address. Someone in the building was nice enough to give it to me. package went to one of the access points. Tried to pick it up since my boss was out of town. They refused to give it to me even when I said I would call my boss on the phone. Customer service was no better. What a joke, agent tells me they are protecting the package

UPS in San Benito, Texas - Complaint

We've been waiting for a pkg for well into two weeks. Our son had 2 pkgs sent the same day, one from FedEx and one from UPS. FedEx delivered theirs 2/11, still no delivery from UPS. They claim they can't find us! Yesterday there was a UPS driver the next street over. I walked up to him just as he started his truck, banging on the side of the truck. He just drove away. I stood there waving my arms, all to no avail. He couldn't have checked his rear view mirrors or he'd have seen me. Is that not a safety feature you teach your drivers? We are in a small RV park and there are daily deliveries made here. There's an office at the entrance where the *** driver could have gotten information. Your company stinks compared to FedEx. You are in the same category as the USPS, totally useless. We'll NEVER use you again. We also complained to Amazon about your poor service and also told them we will never order anything from them if we know they want to ship UPS. Exactly what criteria do you use when hiring drivers?

UPS "Discount" cards do not apply to Box Rental

4.7
Details

Update by user Mar 19, 2015

Update - UPS has made no effort to contact me on this problem. I am surprised they do not care about developing long-term customer relations.

It seems they are only interested in profits.

After the "introductory discount", they charge full rates. I encourage anyone in the Sierra Vista area to consider other options before entering into a long-term agreement with this UPS location.

Original review posted by user Feb 17, 2015

I have been a UPS Customer in Sierra Vista, AZ, for over 4 years. During that time, I stayed with them when they closed my satellite facility and rolled everything into the main downtown facility. However, after my initial box rental enticement, I have had to pay full rental price. When my box came up for renewal (just before Christmas last year), I was encouraged to rent short term, to get into the new year because UPS was starting a new discount plan after Jan 1. In Jan, I was presented with a new Discount Card that provides reduced rate office services. However, when my box came up for renewal again, I was told the "Discount Card" did not include Box Rental. Not only that, but Box Rental rates went up almost 15% this year (now $51 for 3 mo). When I asked for some help, I was basically given the cold shoulder. Also, this UPS store does not recognize discount programs (eg: AAA) listed on the corporate website. If you live in Sierra Vista, AZ, I suggest you find another place to rent a mailbox (Hey, USPS boxes only rent for $60 a year). The employees are nice, but management's attitude stinks.
