UPS in Celina, Texas - Incompetent and cowardly

I get the notification that my package has been delivered to the UPS HUB about an hour from my house. It also says that it is scheduled to be delivered today ( Thursday February 26th, 2015 ) by the end of the day. However, this morning I went to check on the tracking number and notice it hasn't been scanned to be delivered today. I knew right away, that it was more than likely not on the truck to be delivered today even though it was scheduled to be delivered today. I check again at noon and THEN I get a message that my package is delayed due to adverse weather conditions. Well, that would be true If we were having adverse weather conditions. That ended two days ago. Now, I would not be concerned or upset about it accept that this is a temperature sensitive item that is made of wood and being in freezing temperatures or lower for too long can warp it, making it virtually un usable. I must have called 3 times trying to get ahold of the local HUB and every time it's somebody that I can barely understand. If it's not poor broken english, it's a phone with a horrible connection. When I explain to them that I need to get this package today and that I would go to the HUB to get it if I have to, the person that I talked to said that she advised against that. My question is " Why ? ". People pick up orders from that HUB all the time. My next logical thought is that it has more than likely either been damaged OR it's been lost or stolen and they are just giving me every excuse in the book. When I read only ONE review similar to mine, it bothered me that there were not MORE complaints coming from the Dallas, Tx area. What's worse is TOMORROW we get snow and SATURDAY we get ice. This will more than likely delay it even more. BY the time I get this, it will more than likely be damaged by sitting in the truck trailer and rough handling of the package. Trust me. They fling boxes around, both big and small. I have seen it EVERY HUB I have been to. It's one thing to tell me that it can't be delivered today because they have to catch up, but when they add that they advise against me traveling to the HUB to pick it up instead of letting it sit there over the weekend to be damaged even further, it puts up a red flag. I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not, FULL MSRP will be paid to me to replace this item. I'm not having another product damaged and not being compensated for their incompetence.

I order items online that are difficult for me to bring home to my third floor walk-up apartment. I have weather-induced asthma and arthritis. I am able to get myself up the stairs by pacing myself and staying indoors in sub-zero weather. It is worth it to live...

I found that it depends on your driver. The driver for towns east of St. Johnsbury would leave parcels at any one of 5 locations, and online it would say it was delivered to my house. Not true! I could spend days looking for the delivery. I have moved, and here, west of Rutland, the driver is cooperative, and has worked out a great arrangement with people in town for bad weather deliveries.

I opened up a new ups account. I was told my ups ground packages has to arrive at my local THE UPS STORE by 6pm mon for guaranteed tues Delivery & they were scanned at 542pm MON. My packages weren't delivered TUES. UPS reps told me that since the ups driver or store screwed up& did not pick up my package tues that they are not liable. UPS didn't get the package until TUE so they are not late. They said the UPS store is a separate company so they are not responsible. When I asked to explain why there was s problem as I no longer trust ups to deliver timely they refused to help & told me to call the store myself. I will use FEDEX in the future. More UPS delays in Dallas

Package is "delayed due to weather" - it's now February (no longer December, with holiday delays). USPS is delivering, Fedex is delivering, some smaller, local companies are delivering. BUT...UPS seems to be having major problems. Stuff is stuck for days in Dallas and NO NEWS. It's like a BIG BLACK HOLE. UPS is delivering, as long as the stuff is not being routed through Dallas (and there are no "delayed due to weather" notices. HELLO UPS - your Dallas hub is TOTALLY DISFUCTIONAL. Exactly. My package had arrived at the HUB in Mesquite and I was tracking it the moment it got here.

It was scheduled to be delivered today and then all of a sudden at noon, I get a notification that say's " due to adverese weather conditions that your package may be delayed. "

Really? The weather is FINE today. However, tomorrow and Saturday will be a HUGE difference.

So, My package will be delayed even further. This is a weather sensitive item made of wood and will warp in freezing and below freezing temps if it sits there for too long. When I mentioned going over there to pick it up myself, the customer service girl said that she couldn't let me do that. I wonder why not?

It's a HUUB where people pick up their packages regularly. Something tells me they either lost it or damaged it already.

I'm in the exact same boat. Pkg to be delivered today.

It is sitting at a Dallas hub and delayed to the supposed "weather" -- it's been fine in Dallas since February 24 (no severe weather).

On top of rude customer service reps, am unable to pick up the package either. Completely unnacceptable for items that are needed by tomorrow!

UPS - Bad delivery and customer service

I checked at 6:48PM online, and it says that the package was delivered at my front door at 6:41PM. But I was at home and no package was in front of my house, nor door bell was heard (UPS always rings the bell when they deliver the package). I called the customer service, and informed UPS about missing package, but they told me that they are not responsible for their delivery, and I should ask the sender who is my friend, to send another package - which I think it is ridiculous. They should be responsible for missing delivery not friend of mine who send the package through UPS.

I ordered several packages from Amazon a week and a half ago. Then the snow hit and everything was delayed ok no problem I understand. well come friday everything is out for delivery great I thought. Here it is tuesday night and still nothing i have called twice and been promised by ups both yesterday and today that my packages would be here today. Mind you these were supposed to be presents for a party today. well what do we have a pissed 8 year old who thinks his parents forgot half his presents. Now lets add to this I happened to see the UPS truck in town so I stop and ask him if by chance he had my stuff today supposedly its being delivered right. He tells me that all packages that could be blamed on the storm were thrown into trailers to be delivered over the next few weeks as they have to focus on the packages comming now because they are covered by a service agreement. I asked if the Campbellsville hub was working hard to get the back log out and he said no not really theres no big hurry we just keep the packages slated as out for delivery so that people think they are on the way. Mind you that the post office only missed 1 day in the weather.

I used UPS for a move from NYC to Canada to ship 6 boxes. A standard shipping job turned out to be almost a month before I got all my packages. Their first mistake was to give me domestic waybills for international shipment. 3 of the boxes got here and 3 other were no where to be found. After I called less than helpful and rude customer service that spoke to me the customer with attitude they told me "those packages you received weren't even supposed to be there".....ok. Then they asked me to fax invoices which was fine but could have told me beforehand. One package got sent back to my original address no notification or email or call to me to provide an invoice. Had to spent more money to schedule a pickup for that one. If you have policies please ensure you are consistent in them. Finally, wanted to change the phone number of my receiver tonight. Customer service agent was so rude and refused to do anything saying I already had a phone number there. Told her it was the wrong phone number and she told me they can't change it. Fair enough I tell her to leave a note and she asks me what the point is. How is that customer service??? If there was no point why have the option to fill out that number in the first place? Told her I don't see what the big deal is about changing a phone number... So unyielding and no responsibility from agents and UPS in general. This is not a stretch when I say I will never use UPS again and have already shared this negative experience with sympathetic family friends and coworkers to convince them not to use UPS either.

UPS is going down the tubes quickly

We have been a UPS customer for almost 20 years. We have always had a stellar payment history and relationship with UPS. In Dec of 2013, unknown to our company, UPS apparently did not receive a payment of $ 114.01 from two invoices at end of year. NO ONE ever mentioned anything to us even though we continued to make our regular invoice payments in Jan, Feb, and Mar of 2014. If we were trying to stiff them, why would we continue to make each and every payment there after. They cannot see the trees for the forest. We did receive a call from a distant land with a seemingly fraud-like voice saying we owed UPS money from Dec 2013 and demanded a credit card over phone to settle account. Obviously, we considered this call a scam since we had ‘always made our payments’ in a timely fashion. No one ever called or visited domestically even though any missed payment would have been an obvious anomaly in our account. Now, I will advise that the subsequent invoices that we were continuing to get and pay each week did state an outstanding balance, but because we pay things bi-weekly, they are always passing in the mail - at least for the last 20 years. One day our World Ship notified us that we did not have weekly pickup. We thought this odd (remember, we are unaware of any issue). I call UPS and they inform me that our account is suspended. Once we go back and look that the check from 90 days ago never cleared our bank, we put two and two together and got four. But UPS cannot count because they could not put two and two together. I tried to explain to UPS and had a copy of the check that was mailed to them on Dec 30 2013 and gently asks that we be put back on active status and just send me copies of the invoices and we would pay (once again) and all would be good. Took them over a week just to get me the invoices and after we paid - some three weeks later, we were still suspended (????). Turns out that someone finally tells us (not before) that we needed to make a deposit of four times the original invoice to get back in good standing ???? WHAT ?? Not only is this ludicrous, but also NEVER told us this was a requirement and some three + weeks later when we inquire why we are still suspended, they tell us because a deposit is required of $450+. Today, they have "decided" to waive the deposit but gave us grave warning that next time the deposit will be required. Have not told them, but there will not be a next time because the time they treat us as common criminals, we will no longer be their customer. Another tragedy is when you need to speak to some ne, they have farmed out their CS overseas, but this is another subject for another day. After searching for over one hour to try to talk to a domestic rep, I was appalled by the cavalier and wicked posture taken against me on the phone by this female in management. When they went public, they ceased to be a company that served their customers. Soon, they will replace their hardworking employees with temps and I estimate that by 2022, UPS will crumble upon itself due to their blatant disrespect for their bread and butter. The time is RIPE for a new company to come in and start picking up the pieces.
