UPS in Louisiana - Damage Claim Denied

Sent a computer monitor via UPS. Double wrapped with Bubble wrap, secured tightly with "peanuts", "fragile" placards on each side of box, insured for $1000.00 Arrived with box split open, peanuts falling out, computer screen spider webbed. Scheduled UPS pick up next day. When I called to speak to them about it, they stated that since I shipped it from Office Depot, they now become the shipper, and nothing can be discussed with me. Thank goodness, Office Depot has excellent customer service. Six months later, they are denying claim stating " improper packaging" Really? Even if I hadn't used bubble wrap, peanuts, and fragile placards, I still had insurance on it. What a racket !!!!!

This time, they left a delivery notice on my door, with an address for pickup. I checked the info notice online and the webpage told me it was at a different address. So I called UPS. The woman told me my package was at the address displayed online. So I went there and the guy behind the desk told me that although I'd come to the right place, they didn't have it and that I should try a UPS depot a few miles away. So I went to the depot. They had the package but wouldn't give it to me. Turns out the notice that had been left on my door should have gone to the house 3 doors down and the package was for him. All this driving around whilst in rush hour. Probably just over an hour of my time totally wasted.

UPS in South San Francisco, California - Never notify customer about lost package and unethical practice to prevent lost claim filed

After a package didn't arrive on time, customer had to actively find out the status because UPS would not notify a loss. Although the local office staff verbally confirmed the package was lost, the status was never changed to reflect that, because they NEEDED the package to change status. So no package meant no status change. At the same time, the estimated delivery date automatically updated to current day EVERYDAY after it's lost. Because the status said it would be delivered "today", a lost claim could not be filed. The system kept doing this everyday. Result: customer would never receive the package, shipper would never file a lost claim and shipper would not replace the shipment because it was still "in transit". This practice is obviously designed to prevent customers from filing a lost claim when it is lost. Really need a class action lawsuit to correct it.

UPS is the worst for customer service

We were to receive a UPS Blue package that was 1' long and 34 lbs. it was a steel bar from a major material vendor. They lost our package, listed it clearly on the tracking page that they lost it, then tried to charge us additional handling fees so they wouldn't have to refund the charges for lack of delivery. Shipped on 03/10/15 received 03/17/15 and they still want their money. So much for guaranteed delivery. When the package did arrive it was in perfect condition. On 03/16/15 UPS tracking said "A late UPS trailer arrival has delayed delivery. Delivery will be rescheduled" But they still claim it is our fault. Unbelievable UPS!!! Their whole guarantee is a ***!!!!

I can honestly say I've never received a ups package on time. Every time I see that my package has been delivered, I go outside and it's no where to be found. I am so frustrated with ups. I don't understand how hard it is to leave a package in a safe place or to deliver on time. If you're going to notify the customer the package has arrived, then there should be a package awaiting for the customer. Also it's not rocket science, don't leave package in sight outside a building door or gate. Put it in a side door or somewhere secure. Terrible ups delivery personnel really ruin people's days and wastes their time. You have one job, do it right.

I paid for UPS Second Day Air which was shipped from Texas to Arizona on Friday (3-13). The original date of delivery was Tuesday, and now they are saying it will be Thursday? This is totally unacceptable behavior to have such a delay when paying for second day delivery, for a package coming from Texas to Arizona. And to top it off, the tracking service for UPS does not even give me an explanation for the excessive delay. Talk about poor customer service. You spend a lot more money to get faster delivery, and when they can't deliver they should at least give you a reason. Lost my business. 1Z8194730214965636

This is not the first time I have had delivery issues with UPS, we live in a gated community. When we leave a note to the driver on the keypad the drivers fail to follow instructions or even attempt to deliver to the unit. Numerous times my item has been returned to the sender as a result of poor delivery practices. Every chance I get when ordering an item I request the sender not to use UPS because I know it will not arrive. The person waiting for an item pays the shipping why do they get away with treating us like dirt??? IT's just very wrong
