Ups - Package Review from Houston, Texas

1.0
Details
my address is 4341 Southwest Freeway Houston Texas 77027. and for some reason your drivers can never find this address. What's even more frustrating countless times they have stated that no one was at this address to receive the package, or the address is invalid. I am the property manager at public storage, so I also have quite a few tenants that receive deliveries from UPS, and the drivers are say the same thing. today I was supposed to receive a delivery and the driver put it in the notes that I was not present to receive the delivery at 5:20. I've been sitting by the window waiting on the driver who never showed up it is very frustrating and unprofessional

First off, it is not a good idea to post your address on a public internet site, much less one UPS does not monitor.

In the future, have Public Storage and your name both on the address label.

I would be confident doing the above will get your items to you.

UPS in Brooklyn, New York - TERRIBLE Customer Service

1.5
Details
Every once I a while UPS service is fine and they do what they purport to do. Other times, particularly if you have to call and work with customer service, they are obtuse, inconsistent, and utterly unhelpful. I recently had to reschedule a delivery from Amazon. I tried to do so first via My UPS online, but was unable to. I called UPS who said that this was because Amazon had not provided some needed information and that if I wanted to reschedule a delivery I should do so by calling them. After I missed the first delivery attempt (Thursday night) I called them as advised the next morning, rescheduled the delivery for Monday, and paid their fee. The rep did not bother to tell me that the package was already on the truck and it would still be attempted for delivery that day anyway, so there was NO POINT in trying to reschedule. I was out of town and received a text later in the day that a 2nd delivery attempt had been made -- exactly what I was trying to avoid. I called UPS again, first requesting that my redelivery request just be honored (and counted as a second delivery attempt in case I missed them again Monday) since I paid the fee (and was not informed that it would be pointless), but the rep I spoke with said there were 'no guarantees' then started angrily arguing back at me when I refuted this response. All she could say is 'nothing is guaranteed' and 'someone will call you Monday morning at 9.' Why is it so hard to acknowledge a mistake and provide a service you claim to provide? Not satisfied, I called Amazon who called UPS again. I was informed by UPS via Amazon that if I miss the delivery again on Monday, I could call Amazon and, again, request another delivery. I then CALLED UPS AGAIN to request a refund for the fee paid for a service I was never going to receive. Apparently this is also mired in complications: Amazon telling me it's a UPS thing, and UPS telling me only Amazon can request that. Then I spoke with a UPS supervisor who tried to make sure I would be reimbursed the fee paid for the botched redelivery service, but just said, call the billing department when they're open. At some point in this debacle, the delivery was rescheduled for Tuesday, WHICH I NEVER REQUESTED. UPS again blamed Amazon, which I found highly unlikely. I had never spoken to anyone about rescheduling for Tuesday. How could this have happened?? AND I still had to follow-up and call them to make sure I am not charged for the ONE AND ONLY delivery rescheduling I tried to make. On the following Monday I finally spoke with two competent people who were able to make sure I would not be charged for service I did not receive. (To add to the annoyance, when I called to follow-up on this, they kept referring to the Tuesday delivery as the rescheduled service.) Every time I spoke with a UPS rep - except for supervisors, who seemed able to comprehend the issue - they constantly interrupted me and seemed to not really understand the problem. It felt like the majority of my time on the phone with them was spent trying to explain the situation in different ways so that they could understand. I, the customer, had to do so much work to help them assist me for customer service issues they should be able to address. Oh, and then there was the time UPS left a package with someone in my building (which was not authorized) without leaving an InfoNotice, which then led to another gross waste of time trying to locate it. What a horrible waste of time and so dysfunctional. I DREAD ever having to talk to UPS customer service again.

UPS in New Bedford, Massachusetts - Horrible service, shipping and employees

UPS can never seem to deliver a package correctly, always try to deliver to the wrong door like its so hard to read a address on a door. Then when you call customer service and get a call back within the hour just to get someone who gives you an attitude because you want to know whats going on with your package. They tell you they call hold the package at the facility in Dartmouth and you can pick it up anywhere between 7:30 pm & 8:30 pm. You finally agree to do so get there between the time span and they do not have your package. They say they'll try to redeliver it again and go to the wrong door yet again. You call customer service yet again and wait for your call back within the hour. You get a lady named Pam(Dartmouth location) who gives you an attitude laughs at you and says what did you come at 3pm to pick it up laughs and transfers you without even letting you know you're going to be put on hold. You then get Rachel (Dartmouth location) same person you talked to days before who is now denying what she told you days before about picking up the package. They continue to argue with you before then placing you on hold again to say they will attempt to deliver the package tomorrow. Which you already know will be delivered to the wrong door.

Ups - Pickup Service Review from Fall River, Massachusetts

1.6
Details
UPS customer service is a joke. I emailed them back and forth after my scheduled pickup, which I had to pay for because the closest UPS shipper is inconveniently far, was performed before the window of time I scheduled for. I live in a city and do not feel comfortable leaving a package on the porch of my building when I am at work. I came home just in time to see the UPS truck leaving, when they should not have been there for another hour. I have emailed customer service only for them to ignore what I've told them and ultimately just stop responding to me. That is horrible customer service. I will now call them not only about my missed pickup (which I will have to reschedule and pay for again), but customer service which just decides to stop responding.

UPS delivery process is worst ever

Was supposed to receive legal documents delivered by UPS. Driver claimed he delivered to front door. I was home all day and there was NO DELIVERY. Customer service claims it was delivered even though I told him it was not. Then he claims it will take 8 BUSINESS DAYS to investigate, not find the package, just investigate!!!. I need these documents in a few days or I miss my vacation. FedEx never has these problems! Can't believe with this technology they have problems finding the right house!!!! How long does it take to call the driver and find out where he dropped the package off. He also should take a drug test if he thinks he delivered the package at the right house. Never use UPS! I am calling the embassy to tell them to stop using UPS or risk having all the important legal documentation get lost.

Ups - Staff Review from Altadena, California

The manager, Andrew, at store #4353 at 2629 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta, CA. 91214 is always thoughtful and helpful as well as all the female employees that I have met over the years. For some reason UPS has decided to send Andrew around to other stores to help out. This has brought about a change in the employees left to care for the store. Especially, Tom, who literally walks around with his hands in his pockets the whole time. His attitude appears to be, "I am going to get by by doing as little work as possible." Recently, I have been shipping boxes everyday to Eugene Hotel, Oregon. Today, Saturday, May 30, 2015, I asked, Tom, for assistance to carry a box from my car. Tom said that I will take care of you in a moment. He then meandered to and from the store with his hands in his pockets as if he were taking a stroll through the woods. This went on and on. Tom never explained that he planned to walk around with his hands in his pockets for as long as he could get out of the job of lifting a box. (My heart goes out to his poor mother). A female employee offered me a dolly and I explained once again as usual that I needed a four wheel dolly which this store does not offer. Finally, I rolled the heavy box from the front seat of my car and by turning it over and over was able to make it to the front door when a female customer began helping me. I explained to Tom that the Bloomington, IN. UPS store has one employee who is able to multi task and kept all his customers happy. Also, please inform Tom to explain to his customers how long he plans to make his customers wait and perhaps suggest another nearby UPS store. Movers had picked up my belongings the day before. Many customers needing to ship by UPS in addition to hired movers badly need thoughtful consideration from your employees. Why does UPS hire a young man who walks around with his hands in his pockets all day? You get the picture. I am 79 years old and was able to get the box into the store. All Tom had to do was ask his customer who needed computer help to wait one moment -- carry in the box, and let one of the female employees check me out. Most Sincerely, Beverly J. Mendoza

UPS in Orinda, California - Worst Service Ever, Don't Expect Delivery

I have had several experiences since some retailers still use UPS for some mysterious reasons. 1) Every single delivery with them is a problem. Sorry, but you are a service company, your business is to provide me with a service, not to get help from me. 2) They don't know how to follow instructions, i.e. deliver where you are told to, not where your illiterate drivers feel like stopping. 3) If you go somewhere and somebody is there specifically to take packages, get them to sign and leave the package, don't ship it back to the sender because you don't know how to do your job.

Ups - Delivery Service Review from Phoenix, Arizona

The UPS tracking service indicated delivery on May 29th by end of the day (whatever that means), double checked via email customer service and by 7 PM checked by calling customer service but could only talk to a robot who also cconfirmed delivery. Shortly after 8 PM I live chatted with Catherine T. who told me my pkg was last scanned on May 27th and now lost and I must have sender start a trace. That means that for TWO DAYS they knew I wasn't getting the delivery, but kept telling me I was. Why did they torture me like this? My life was on hold waiting for a delivery that wasn't happening. I could have asked the sender to start a trace sooner, but that may not have provided the UPS employee who stole my package enough time to cover his/her tracks. I think it is horrid UPS had the correct info but posted/provided false info right up until almost 8:30 at night. I will contact my congresswoman next week. I Do not think willfully lying to a customer, thereby not allowing the person to make other arrangements, etc, should be tolerated. UPS should notify customers immediately. Why else do they need our phone & email info? Something is wrong with the current system and this must be corrected.

UPS in Bonney Lake, Washington - Left package by the road because I have a gravel driveway

3.8
Details
I'm assuming he tried to deliver a 160lb package on a pallet with some sort of driven fork lift or something. He called and said he couldn't make it up to the house. Thinking he made it at least half way I didn't worry. It was by the road, 5 feet up the driveway! I got a hand truck and easily pulled it up to the house. This is either lazy or poorly equipped, but they're lucky it wasn't stolen. Any vehicle big or small has had no problem driving up my driveway, and for a delivery service to have trouble is lame
