On May 28th, 2015 we issued a pick-up for a box containing the rear end for our lawn mower. We inadvertently entered in the value of the part at $100, having no idea of the value. On June 28th we recieved a call from the gentlemen whom was to be repairing and returning it to us, stating he never recieved the package. Long story short, UPS had lost our 35# pkg. They sent us an email with links on where to file a claim, right away without even taking a day to look for it, never mentioning that they were never going to remberse us for more than $100. They told us to get documentation of value for new, used and refurbished parts so we did that, those prices were $550-$750. After a week or so they call us back saying they need signed documentation of the costs, again we waste our time running around getting the paperwork signed and send it in again. We again get a call today saying they will pay a whopping $100 towards our lost package (the package THEY lost). Now I realize we are 10% to blame in this by having faith in UPS, assuming they are not going to lose a 35# package and only listing it as only $100 value. The other 90% falls solely on UPS, they not only lost it, they refused to look for it, they take no ownership in the fact they cost this hardworking family of 6 $700 and have drug this whole thing out over almost 2mo. I will never ship UPS again and I'll post this all over social media until UPS makes this right and quits stepping on the little guy!

YOU are 90% at fault for only placing $100 value on a $700 item.

Had yo placed a $700 value on it in the first place, you would receive $700. It was up to you to put the correct amount of declared value on it BEFORE you sent it!!

Look at it this way.

A person owns a Classic Car and places a value of $5,000 on it with the insurance Company.

It gets totalled, and the Owner then discovers it is worth $15,000, and gets a check for the insured amount of $5,000.

The Owner has no right to come back and claim the Ins Co.

is trying to rip them off for the extra $10,000 the car was worth! Same here, you are just out of luck for rolling the dice and losing!

I recently had to send a package containing a failed electronic device to an out of state repair facility. I went to my local UPS store with the package wrapped and addressed for sending. The UPS store representative weighed my package and with the delivery address, quoted me a shipping cost of $18.53. I protested at the higher price than expected and he countered with the statement that that was the same cost as for USPS shipping. I took his word for it because it appeared they also offered USPS services. I paid their price but when the item was returned after repair by that business, I found that it cost $8.10 for USPS 2day priority mail. I was really piqued at the lie most of all, but look at the disparity in shipping cost! Guess I will visit the Post Office from now on.

Ups Shipping Review

They made one attempt to deliver then they deliver my parcel to a collection point that is far from my house. I paid for home delivery could of left parcel with my neighbours now I have to leave work early to go and collect it. Its bad because I will not order from the company any more because they use ups! had problems in the past this has just topped it.

Package incorrectly shipped to me and UPS won't take it back

We moved into a new home and have been getting a lot of incorrect mail. I brought everything to the post office and they informed me they couldn't take one package back bc it was shipped by UPS. I then brought it to a UPS store where I was told I had to call UPS to schedule a pickup of this package. After a frustrating conversation with a phone robot I finally got a human on the phone. She informed me that since it had been more than 5 days we could not return the package bc "someone has to pay for the shipping"!?!?!? She told us to contact the company the item came from. I've had about enough and am ready to throw this thing in the garbage. UPS you guys are jerks.

UPS already did their part, which was deliver the package. Even though you are not the correct recipient, you are the correct address, which is what matters to them on a delivery.

However, they will take packages back within a reasonable time period (5 days), as long as it has not been opened or obviously tampered with. Beyond that, they will not, because it becomes their responsibility again, and they have no way of knowing if the package is in the original condition.

Also, when you return something to sender, the original sender is who foots the bill.

If you contact the sender, they should be able to send you a return shipping label; or, you can contact the intended recipient (UPS often has the receiver's phone number of the box) and ask them what they want you to do with it. It is an unfortunate situation that you're in, but the fault rests solely on the person who sent it to the wrong place to begin with, not on you or UPS.

UPS in London, England - Terrible service!!!

phoned to arrange pick up 6 days prior..waited in all day,phoned several times last call was at 7 in the evening to say will still be with you..time 7.30..never arrived phoned 9.15 next day,was told depo will ring me within the hour..NO..phoned again now 11.45 still waiting for the manager to ring me back.still heard nothing..TERRIBLE SERVICE..parcel has a prepaid label on it,just hoping the parcel arrives in time to the store for my refund.Would never use these again,and will be letting the store know how bad there service is.

Ups 2Nd Day Air Review from New Orleans, Louisiana

I had something sent to me on a wensday. It was 25 extra dollars for the 2 day delivery. I played it. they sent it to the whisker location on Friday but it's Monday now and they haven't even shown there face now. Still waiting. Now can you explain if I pay for a delivery to happen in 2 days for an emergency. Now it's on it's 6th day. Does that mean you wait 2 more days after you have it at your location to deside to deliver? Sadly I had the same thing shipped by the postal office and I had it in 3 days with no extra cost. Can you explain why we pay more for you to hold it longer? Not deliver in the 2 days instead it takes 6-7 Days. I guess I know why FedEx is way better. *** even regular mail get's here faster and gives updates and a correct time also. Sounds like your whistler location gets paid to set on there rears. I will never pay for your service again. Until you can pay your employees to get off there *** start with checking on why nobody gets anything on time.

Honestly their customer service is horrible. They expect you to do everything online, but their website is horrible, when you call it is incredibly difficult to get a person instead of a robot on the phone. The package I ordered travelled 1200 miles in 5 days and it has just been sitting in San Diego, not even 10 miles from my house since then. I tried to schedule a pick-up but they informed me the container that had my package in it wasn't scheduled to be opened for another couple days! Insane!! $28.00 S&H and my package is 10 miles away from my house for 4 days they won't deliver or let me pick up. This is why I NEVER use UPS and always go Fedex.

Ups Shipping Review from New York, New York

Goo Evening, I am a regular customer of UPS in Decatur Ga. I shipped my boxes from the location in The Public Shopping Center, I had a box shipped on June 10. 2015 from the location.My box was delivered on june11. And had been open and pick through with other customers items. I reported the incident the next day, the represented who took the information was pleasant, she told me I will receive a call from the damaged control office which I did. The male representative was very rude I disconnected myself from him, and called back to speak to Manager which was very nice. He assured me I will receive a call to discuss my issue about my package. I have not heard from any one and it is going on 4 weeks. Is this the way you treat your customers by not responding to their complaints by ignoring them. The service was unacceptable the way my box was cut open and items missing out of box. If no response I am going straight to the CEO.
