UPS in Ottawa, Ontario - Mychoice/800 #/ customer service all TERRIBLE.

I HAD THIS EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. This company slowly become the most unreliable delivery service.They have this thing where you can set up an account called Access UPS My Choice. for information update on packaging and a 1800 number neither of these two systems are ever correct. drivers have digital pads and the entire UPS operating system is network linked but yet still it takes 3-4 days to correct a address much less up date information. called on Friday to correct an address error I was told the with this correction the package would then be delivered the next business day (Monday). Corrected the information and authorized delivery for Monday. Monday morning I call verify package is out for delivery and to verify corrected information. information is verified and told package is out for delivery. 4 hours later I check back and then I told the package wont be delivered until the next day. Because they didn't update the system before the driver picked up packages for delivery. This company is a joke. Never use UPS.

at the Quad Avenue UPS service center you can expect rude, unprofessional and extremely bad service. I took a package to there, Tracey at the counter would not wait on me until I set up an account and printed my own shipping label, she waited on people behind me told me to wait at the computer for her. She never came over! Their corporate office is not reachable, as I did file a complaint and never heard a word other then someone would be in touch...it's been a week...no one has called. 1. I did not want to set up an account for one package. 2. Tracy was giving out packages without proper I'd from other customers while I was waiting for her. She allowed a man nit even affiliated with UPS behind the counter. 3. She was rude, very unprofessional and is a disgrace to UPS and lazy. I will never use them in the future. I left with my package, went to FEDEX and was promptly taken care of. Was finished in FEDEX in minutes. I will no longer order anything that uses UPS. It was obvious to me they did not want my business or money as this was an overnight package. Very arrogant and could have cared less if I left. I stood idle for 20 minutes, my anger building to the point that I just left. I do not need horrible service and pay for it! Don't do business with UPS....they do not follow their own policies that are posted all over the walls. These people should be ashamed of themselves!

A 5-day delivery of the order replacement gas cap for my lawn mower became a 10 day ordeal. I have to wait and wait and accept the humiliating scrutiny of naighbors over my overgrown grass!

called ups because they didn't deliver my package. They said they would call back after they figured out what was going on. A little while later, the tracking updated online and it showed it was delivered to the wrong location. We are a small business and need that package today. They said the driver admitted he left it the wrong place and would pick it up and deliver it next week. That is totally unacceptable. This makes us lose customers. And there is no window of time for deliveries. One day it might be 9 a.m. the next day it might be 4 p.m. you never know.

Details
UPS refused to send 2 canvas bags across Canada because 'they couldn't stick a label on it'. Really? Canada Post had no problem with it and was 40% cheaper. It seemed to me that the UPS agent didn't want to bother. Very dissapointing.

Driver put note through the door stating I was not in he didn't even knock on the door it was raining so just stuck note through the door there is a purpose made notice stating please use the back door all other company's seem to manage not impressed with this company

UPS in Adelanto, California - Non-diclosure of information, unfair "abandonment" penalty

I went to UPS store #5055 in Victorville California to mail a laptop to Canada on Jun 22, 2015 and paid $54.02. I then traveled to Europe, returned on July 11 (Saturday) only to receive a message on my phone that the party I mailed the laptop to refused to pay $138.64 import tax. Therefore I should either pay the tax or pay $52.73 to have the laptop returned to me. The message was left on Jul 3. I went to the store on Monday Jul 13 to explain to them that the laptop is a personal used item that I'm shipping back to Canada where it came from to begin with and I shouldn't have to pay import tax. Furthermore, if the mailer (UPS) had told me it would incur tax, I wouldn't bother mailing it. I was told my message would be delivered to the manager. After waiting for some day and didn’t hear anything from the manager, I gave them a call again on 7/20 and the manager told me the package had gone into abandonment on Jul 7 and I would have to pay about $153 to get it out, and another $52.73 to mail it back to me. First of all, how is a laptop deemed abandoned after only four business days and one notice - Jul 3 when they call first me to July 7? I emailed the laptop receipt to prove it was originally bought in Canada. After a lot of phone calls to UPS International, UPS Customer service, Canadian customs, and back-and-forth with the manager of store #5505, the owner of the store finally agreed to pay half and I pay half to get the laptop out of abandonment and delivered to the addresses in Canada. I paid $65.50. In other words, even though Canadian customs no longer charged me for import fee, UPS still managed to extract a total of $119.52 to ship a laptop from California to Toronto Canada! I will never patronize UPS again, and I will spread word of their bad business practices!

Details
Shipped a phone 25 days ago was told delivery in 5 to 6 days. Sent a second phone 10 days later by FedEx was there in 3 days. This was USA to London. Went to UPS store in Greer SC told the owner my situation and she told me I should have shipped FedEx to begin with ! Great customer service. I won't be back
