UPS in Brooklyn, New York - What a Gentleman

I had an 84lb bookshelf delivered because it was too heavy for me to have carted home myself. The UPS guy needed a trolley to get it from the truck to my apartment, yet did not offer to help me bring it up to the third floor of the walk up. As I struggled to even get the package, which was as tall as I am, in the front door, he was pressing me to sign. Seeing that I couldn't even lift it over the lip of the doorway, he helped me maneuver it into just inside the front door in a very exasperated manner, grabbed the signature device and SHUT the front door behind him! I was stunned. It took me a good 20 minutes to bring the bookshelf up the two flights of stairs, one step at a time. If I had the help of another person, it would have taken less than 5 minutes. UPS really knows how to pick them. Add onto the fact that there were stickers everywhere that indicated that it was a fragile package and the corners should be attended to with care; the package was battered with half the tape already peeling off.

I paid extra for 2 day delivery to my apartment... I had to drive to the UPS Facility on the other side of town 2 days after they failed to deliver my package.

Then they wouldn't give me a refund for the inconvenience of having to go way out of my way to get what i paid for, AND THEY WERE RUDE ABOUT IT!! The guy was seemingly offended that i would dare ask for a refund. They claimed the listed address was incorrect because the Road name and apartment complex name was together. If that was way too much for a package delivery company to handle after i paid extra then they don't deserve anybody's business.

I would like to say that any rookie driver could have found my apartment as its location is also on a one way street. It doesn't require a lot of manpower or brains to figure it out...

I will never use their services again and will gladly pass on my disgust with this incompetent place of business.. Thank you!

Details
On July my mum posted the original document from Russia to UK. I have needed this documents to organize my passport. Everything was ok till the letter came to Edinburgh. UPS Edinburgh managed to loose it somewhere. I cant trust UPS anymore. I m dealing only with DHL. Also they have being making refund since July as well. I chase them up today again. I m wondering when this story will finish. UPS provides a poor service which we cant accept. I will never use UPS in the future. Hope my story would be an example for everyone. Nataly McDonald

Ups - Pick Up Service Review from Houston, Texas

It sucked I paid extra for two day delivery and waited all day at home the delivery man didn't even honk or tried to leave the delivery inside the gate he literally passed by and put a paper in the gate and left I then called customer service and they told me they would call in an hour when packaged was ready to go get picked up and they never called back ,we've also had important packages with bank cheecks left where anybody could pick them up and damaged items because they left them where dogs could get them they are the worst shipping company out there from my personal experience

Terrible company, very unprofessional and have no respect for their customers. They screw up but will not offer refunds. You get a 3 month credit with a laundry list of restrictions. I was not able to be home to accept a delivery, so i called to arrange to have my package picked up at their sorting depot 49 km away. I get there the next day to be told the package was out on delivery. Waste of time, gas and my package was now 4 days late due to 2 missed attempts. I phoned to complain and the CSR told me i could get a refund on the shipping charges once it was delivered. Finally get it delivered and was told by a different CSR that i can have a credit to a company I have no intention of ever using again.

UPS in Aurora, Colorado - Delivered my $4500 guitar to the wrong address

This is the second time UPS has delivered an expensive package to the wrong address. The last time was a $3500 guitar. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone trying to track it down. The driver seems to have realized his mistake and picked up the package and brought it my house. The customer service rep offered me no compensation for the stress or time spent calling their customer service line. Don't these guy have GPS, or do they just not care. This is the last time I will use UPS if I have a choice. I'll pay the extra cost and go with FedEx.

UPS in Greenville, Ohio - Worst Delivery Experiences

Last year for homecoming I ordered a dress from PromGirl. UPS was chosen to deliver my dress. Unfortunately UPS only comes to our house when everyone is at work and I am at school. We tried contacting them to establish a way too fix it but, after several attempts at delivering the package, they sent it back to PromGirl. Where I then had to pay extra money to get the package delivered again. I eventually got the dress thankfully. This year I had forgotten that experience and ordered from PromGirl again, only to find another little sticker on my door. After this first note my mom, the one who ordered the dress for me, went online and gave them her electronic signature so that they'd leave it on the doorstep for us to retrieve when we come home. Today, the package was still not here and an identical sticky note was there instead. My mother called them this time and despite many questions and pleas, they would not let us receive the package in any other form than someone being home and signing for it. So now I have to stay home from school tomorrow to receive my $179 homecoming dress unless I want it sent back again. I hope they feel pleasant knowing they're keeping a student from their education.
