UPS changed rate after quoting and shipping

I dropped off a shipment at UPS freight facility in N Charleston SC. The staff at the facility could not help and directed me to call customer service. After a brief discussion about weight I asked the local staff if we needed to weigh the package before I called and I was told no. After talking with customer service, got a quote and paid. Nothing was said about the rate being an estimate. I then dropped off the pallet at the dock. All was good until a about 45 days later when I received a bill for another 117.22. Upon calling customer service the person there told me it was because of a re-weigh and offered to connect me with the local facility to discuss with them which I declined because it has been my experience that it does no good to expect someone to admit they did anything wrong and obviously UPS customer service is not really geared towards taking care of the customer. I am not a regular shipper for these types of services but have done this in the past with out these problems. I can assure you when the next opportunity comes up I will ship with FED-EX as they have never been a problem.

UPS lost my leukemia med

Last week my monthly leukemia medication should have arrived from CVS Caremark. It didn't. This med costs $510.00 a month! UPS claimed they delivered the package at 1:37 pm on the day in question. As it happens, my wife and a friend were standing outside our house at that precise time. There was no UPS truck in sight. The package is simply lost. I have had to re-order the medication for another $510.00! Meanwhile, UPS claims they are "searching for" the package. I'll bet. If they don't reimburse me for this , we are going to take them to small claims court.

UPS in Columbus, Ohio - Requiring Signature

I don't think that UPS should be the one who decides on what packages require a signature. I had ordered some perishable items via 2-day Air. UPS decided that they wanted a signature in order to leave the package. Because this was a Friday, the next scheduled delivery day was the following Monday. The items are going to be ruined, and will be going straight into the trash. The vendor had e-mailed me telling me that they had requested that UPS leave the box without signature. Unfortunately, for the vendor, I will not order any other items from them if UPS keeps requesting a signature. Not all of us have the luxury of having someone available to receive the shipment.

UPS in Jacksonville, Florida - Package never made destination

I sent a package via UPS store here in Atlantic BLvd. Jacksonville, Fl. The package never made it. It was sent to Puerto Rico on October 29, 2015. UPS store decides to send it via USPS. They say I have to talk to USPS. USPS says I have to talk to UPS. Well after fighting on the ping pong table I decided to ask UPS if they can honor the postage for me, at least. They sent me back to USPS, telling me it was their problem.. AGAIN! My response was them to keep my 61 dollars that I paid for my lost item and use it for Holloween on their kids. By golly! I will never use UPS store again..................ever!

DON'T USE UPS NEXT DAY AIR SERVICE!!!

I sent a package from Richmond, VA to Atlanta, GA via Next Day Air on a Friday. It cost $62.62. The driver didn't leave the package because there was no one at the residence. It is left up to the "driver's discretion" as whether to leave it or not. This was a residence located on a cul de sac in the Buckhead section of Atlanta where home prices range from $500K and up, and he/she didn't feel like it was safe. There was no call or email or text to let the sender know that the package was not delivered. A notice was left on the door that it would be delivered on Monday. If I had wanted the package to be delivered on Monday, I would not have paid $62. And since it was a Friday, I was told that UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday only to discover there was a UPS truck delivering in that neighborhood on Saturday! Customer service was NOOOOO help. A letter explaining this horrible process will be mailed to David Abney, CEO on Monday!

Arrival scan means the trailer has arrived on the property at that time.

It then has to sit in line behind countless other trailers to be unloaded and sorted.

It does NOT mean your 1 box is there to pick up!

They tried to charge me $130 on a product that cost $99 at customs. Obviously I expected to pay the value added tax for the country but they added a whole lot more that that for what is in reality, doing nothing. If a company is in the business of moving parcels around the World then they know exactly what happens in any given country at the customs phase. The responsible thing to do would be to let me know before I pay them for the shipping when they see the invoice value, they obviously know what will happen, a consumer has no experience, they do. Anyway I have ended up losing the product and any money I spent on the shipping, UPS were not helpful and basically have played a big part in stealing from me under the guise of fine print and playing ignorant.

My package was just delivered. FINALLY!

The driver claims he was here 5 times, but I know that is a lie. I was here during all the times he claimed to have been here as well. This package was medication that needed to be signed for.

Am glad I got it before it got into the hands of someone who wasn't supposed to have it. It is a narcotic and the driver knew it!
