UPS in Toronto, Ontario - Shipping and Customer service Nightmare!

When shipping a very simple item from Florida, to Ontario I researched costs. A UPS store told me it would be approximately $35, when it was being shipped, it turned out to be $75, then upon arrival, i'm told I have to pay additional fees and taxes, which were never explained. The driver was rude, and tried to be aggressive with me, writing my credit card information for these additional $35 on a random paper with him. Then when calling customer service, I found out that additional cost is 99% UPS's franchisee's fee. On top of everything, their complaints people instead of trying to make me feel better, argued with me telling me my complaint had no purpose and then hung up on me. Afterwards, I called back and got a supervisor, who was kind and polite, but aside from actually taking the complaint, could do nothing. Overall, a horrible experience with UPS.

UPS in Phoenix, Arizona - Came and went

UPS showed up yesterday, I was expecting them. I left my front door open and the screen door locked so that they would see that I was home. I heard no knock and no door bell. They left a tag: "No one home." Now I have to wait for them to notify me that they've delivered the package across town at a cell phone store and then chase all the way over there to retrieve it. I'll be using FedEx Ground from now on.

Details
UPS picks up your package from the shipper and then doesn't send out a delivery date until about 4 days later. Then they keep moving the delivery date back, sometimes 3 times so it takes you 2 1/2 weeks to get even a small size package. I try hard not to order from online stores that use them, the Post Office is faster. If you see your order will be shipped through UPS don't expect it to arrive on time. Very poor service they need to call it a day and quit!!!

UPS..REALLY NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER

AS A BUSS OF A GUN STORE,I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH UPS FOR 4 YRS.TERES ALWAYS AN ISSUE WHY MY SHIPMENTS DO NOT ARRIVED AT THE SCHEDULE TIME. WHEN I USE FED EX I HAVE NEVER HAVE AN ISSUE.WHY?THE ANSWER IS VERY SIMPLE,UPS IS UNION AND FED EX IS NOT.I GUEES UPS DRIVERS FEEL THAT THEY CAN DO WAHT EVER THEY WANT AND ITS OK CAUSE THEY WILL NOT GET FIRED. UPS REALLY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT.EVEN THEIR ATLANTA HEADQUARTERS SHOW NO RESPECT. BOTTOM LINE IS,AVOID UPS.

I was charged $37.57 for "dimensional weight" of 33 pounds when the package only weighed 13 pounds. By their own admission on their OFFICIAL website, a package weighing 13 pounds should only cost $20.26 to ship. "Dimensional weight" means the *MAXIMUM* the package...

USPS Does this now as well on packages that are larger in size. Sending a package 24 x 12 x 4 that weighs a just over a pound they charge 7 pound shipping costs

UPS in Montreal, Quebec - It was my right to reject the package and I was never given that option!

A parcel from UPS arrived at my door No signature NO request for payment and NO paperwork NO option to refuse or even ‘self clear’, the courier guy did not ask for anything, Apparently a gift sent from a distant relative abroad. Three weeks later I received an invoice from UPS for duties. why would I have to pay duty on a gift under $60 sent to me with my knowing? I contacted Ups and they refuse to credit, I do not think I should be paying for this.

Details
The UPS website says the package will be delivered with a date but the package was never delivered. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes the rep tells me it is still at the main plant and she doesn't know when it is going out. Talk about sub par service. Long story...

You can give them an earful they do not care.. my wife's package original delivery date 12/3 was listed on truck for delivery until the end of the shift when it was changed too Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed.

/ Delivery will be rescheduled. after calling and speaking to a supervisor was promised it would be delivered on 12/4 same thing showed it was on a truck and it was not delivered called spoke to a supervisor after it showed Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed. / Delivery will be rescheduled. Supervisor promised a rare Saturday Delivery that did not happen called on Saturday told them I will pick it up on Monday hold at the station..

Monday morning no package UPS does not know where it is..

Monday evening spoke to the only Customer Service rep that did not lie to me her name was Sally (spelled it Selly) she told me the package had been sitting in a trailer since 12/3 at the main Secaucus NJ UPS hub and was put on truck to the delivery hub as we were speaking. Package was picked up Tuesday 12/8

Waited from 6am to 10:12pm and still waiting. After live chat said it would still be delivered. All I wanted to know was the latest delivery time. Watched every car and truck come and go all day because of piracy. Need to go to bed. What a bunch of bull. I'm being held hostage! Chat also said 3 attempts would be made. They have not made first attempt. Chat admitted that delivery attempt had not been made yet, but still might come. How long do you wait. Still waiting, 10:26 pm.

What is wrong with you? Like the previous poster, They are just trying to protect your package from theft or weather conditions.

Why not then, simply have the box with flourecent arrows on it with the words "Free Stuff"!

Don't forget how many packages both ups and usps have stolen!

I think they need new people to do the job,they've stolen packages from family members and myself and left empty box/envelopes that I've took a few pictures of myself after getting tired of them,good thing we got refunded for their thieving ways..ridiculous

Kayla...how did you get refunded...my son dropped off a pkg at 3124 S Parker Road #A2 Aurora Co UPS that was a drop location for the USPS...The shady mf er's told him that the postal service doesnt scan packages and now our $600 package can not be tracked anywhere. We have spoken to the USPS and they said they scan pkgs and it is the UPS that is responsible... We think the Shady UPS workers that recall my son dropping off the package stole and sold the $600 phone that they helped pack...messed up!
