Another nightmare
UPS advertises next day delivery on their inexpensive ground service as long as the destination is within 300 miles of the drop center. Unfortunately many businesses choose to use this rather than their guaranteed delivery service which costs about 100% more (which in truth is no better IME).
Once again a vital machine component needed for a weekend conference failed to show during the confirmed four hour window which unfortunately happened to be on a Friday night. One hour after the window had passed I received and email stating that the delivery had been rescheduled for Monday during the same 2:45-6:45 window.
After two hours on the phone with the UPS call center I was assured by a supervisor that the part would either show up on my doorstep by 8AM Saturday or be made available for pickup at the downtown customer center by 10AM and that someone would call me first thing in the AM to notify me which options was in play.
Saturday morning arrives with no call. Around 9:30 AM I received another email telling me that the package was "out for delivery by end of day"! REALLY ? ? ? At 11:00 AM the package arrives giving me less than one hour to make it 62 miles to it's final destination at the conference for which I was forced to hire a courier.
Thanks again UPS. What has brown done for me lately? Nothing they'll ever get the opportunity to do for me again, I can assure you.

LIED and said he stopped here and no one came to the door.
My package was suppose to be delivered today (up to 8 p.m. tonight).
In the afternoon I checked my amazon email and it said driver attempted to make delivery...knocked on door, no one home so he couldn't get a signature. WE WERE HERE AT THAT TIME!! My house is small and the door is right in the kitchen where I was cooking lunch. Plus we have a dog that goes nuts when someone knocks or even pulls in the driveway.
He was NEVER here. Neighbors also never saw his truck.
I called and complained...they said he was too far out of the area to come back and did I want to meet him, Why would I meet him and use up my gas over his mistake (his lies). She said he was a substitute and running late. I said not my problem.
Tomorrow is Sat. and of course they don't deliver on Sat. so now he is suppose to come back on Monday. I waited a long time for these packages and because of him I will have another wait.
AWFUL, someone needs to shut down UPS

Late delivery, very damaged package arrives with very damaged contents
I ordered a over the range microwave that was 4 days late delivery. It was held up in UPS only 100 miles away from our home they said due to bad weather.
There was no bad weather between here and there that entire week. When it arrived, it was severely damaged. We sent it back, and ordered another one. Same thing.
It was also damaged. I have heard about the way UPS treats their packages and watched videos of boxes being thrown off trucks, etc.
They phoned me wanting to know particulars, but in no way offered even an apology. Hope I don't have to use them much, as I always ask merchants if they would please ship Fedex.

I was one unhappy customer when I did not get my delivery as expected. After a call and a letter of complaint, I received a call back from UPS headquarters.
Tina was truly apologetic and informed me that this would be under investigation.
Being it was a day late I was surprised to even hear back from UPS. I appreciate her taking the time to address the situation.
