Another nightmare

UPS advertises next day delivery on their inexpensive ground service as long as the destination is within 300 miles of the drop center. Unfortunately many businesses choose to use this rather than their guaranteed delivery service which costs about 100% more (which in truth is no better IME).

Once again a vital machine component needed for a weekend conference failed to show during the confirmed four hour window which unfortunately happened to be on a Friday night. One hour after the window had passed I received and email stating that the delivery had been rescheduled for Monday during the same 2:45-6:45 window.

After two hours on the phone with the UPS call center I was assured by a supervisor that the part would either show up on my doorstep by 8AM Saturday or be made available for pickup at the downtown customer center by 10AM and that someone would call me first thing in the AM to notify me which options was in play.

Saturday morning arrives with no call. Around 9:30 AM I received another email telling me that the package was "out for delivery by end of day"! REALLY ? ? ? At 11:00 AM the package arrives giving me less than one hour to make it 62 miles to it's final destination at the conference for which I was forced to hire a courier.

Thanks again UPS. What has brown done for me lately? Nothing they'll ever get the opportunity to do for me again, I can assure you.

I was one unhappy customer when I did not get my delivery as expected. After a call and a letter of complaint, I received a call back from UPS headquarters.

Tina was truly apologetic and informed me that this would be under investigation.

Being it was a day late I was surprised to even hear back from UPS. I appreciate her taking the time to address the situation.

UPS delivery late

Paid for express delivery. Was meant to have my parcel delivered by noon today. Wasn’t going to be home so I requested to pick it up from collection. The tracking suddenly stopped working and now I don’t know when I’m getting my parcel. Was a birthday gift and won’t be here on time. Called customer service and she can’t give me a time frame and delivery was postponed to Thursday because I said pick at collection. Use any other service and they will do the collection point change in the same day! So disappointed!!

I live in third floor and they always deliver my package at the lobby, they dont care to come to my front door or call my phone number in other to connect my package. My four packages has dippeared and lost due to their laziness. This is terible. Ups post men are most lazy human being on earth. It doesn't take one minute to deliver at third floor but they find it difficult and keep lost my packages. This is not fair.

I ordered a 530$ off an online fishing website called tackle direct a week ago and yesterday I got a text saying that the driver was ok route to deliver my package so I waited for the ups driver to show up outside... hour later I see a ups driver pull up so I’m thinking great here’s my package! Wrong he stayed in his truck and then I got notified that he had delivered the package and he drives off !!! I called ups and told them what had happened and they said they had to do an investigation that takes 8days ?!?! WTF! Do not ever do business with UPS

LIED and said he stopped here and no one came to the door.

My package was suppose to be delivered today (up to 8 p.m. tonight).

In the afternoon I checked my amazon email and it said driver attempted to make delivery...knocked on door, no one home so he couldn't get a signature. WE WERE HERE AT THAT TIME!! My house is small and the door is right in the kitchen where I was cooking lunch. Plus we have a dog that goes nuts when someone knocks or even pulls in the driveway.

He was NEVER here. Neighbors also never saw his truck.

I called and complained...they said he was too far out of the area to come back and did I want to meet him, Why would I meet him and use up my gas over his mistake (his lies). She said he was a substitute and running late. I said not my problem.

Tomorrow is Sat. and of course they don't deliver on Sat. so now he is suppose to come back on Monday. I waited a long time for these packages and because of him I will have another wait.

AWFUL, someone needs to shut down UPS

UNBELIEVABLE UPS is probably the worse company I have ever dealt with in my life They lost a parcel in a day and its 2 months later, trying to get a claim sorted and they wont even help me locate my account number. Moreover I have next day delivery and they didn't even contact me when the item was delayed. i had to track down the fact the item didn't arrive then put in a request to search for the package - ONCE you put that request in is when they take 8 business days to search for the package - you'd think it would be 8 business days from when they lost it and it didn't show up a day later. I have tried to talk to them like 6 times and each time its someone from manila or India who cant even speak English - or cant help me at all. What a thankless job, i reall feel bad for the guys that work there but whoever set up how UPS works is a idiot. I am so frustrated with the level of customer service its deplorable - NEVER use UPS

I ordered a 500 lb smoker for my husband and was given a delivery date prior to fathers day, which was the plan. It was being delivered by UPS Freight. When it was clear it would not arrive as projected, I scheduled a pick up. Only to be told my freight was sent back to Lexington from Columbus. It's coming to Detroit. So it traveled backwards. I was verbally guaranteed by Dustin Deskins in Columbus that it would arrive in Detroit by 2am on June 15. He sent it to Lexington. Now Lexington is telling me it MIGHT arrive in Detroit by 9pm on Monday, June 18. So much for Fathers Day. I will NEVER utilize UPS for anything. Nor will I patronize a company that uses them to ship packages. UPS is not concerned with customer service and truthfully, being told "I'm sorry your freight did not arrive on time" by every single employee does nothing for my opinion of UPS. I don't want scripted answers, I want what I'm told I'm getting, when I'm told!!

Late delivery, very damaged package arrives with very damaged contents

I ordered a over the range microwave that was 4 days late delivery. It was held up in UPS only 100 miles away from our home they said due to bad weather.

There was no bad weather between here and there that entire week. When it arrived, it was severely damaged. We sent it back, and ordered another one. Same thing.

It was also damaged. I have heard about the way UPS treats their packages and watched videos of boxes being thrown off trucks, etc.

They phoned me wanting to know particulars, but in no way offered even an apology. Hope I don't have to use them much, as I always ask merchants if they would please ship Fedex.

UPS takes advantage of the elderly and all its customers

My 60+ year old mother sends my kids a package back in Feb( we are now in June) they print the wrong address so it makes it to NY sits in their station and then gets sent back. My 60+ year old other has to go back to station in Maryland tells them address again and then leaves. UPS sends me an email sayimg that the package was delivered. I tell them i never received it. They go into their system and yet again have the wrong address down but my receipt had the right address. they tell me they will email me when the investigation is over. i never received an email, so i called them. They say the case was closed go have my mom go to the station and pick up a form . NOW she has to look for receipts from Feb to prove what she had in the box so that she can get her money back. So they lost they lost the package, made my mom go back and forth for their mistake, now she has to find receipts from Feb and they feel justified as if none of this is their mistake.

We had three packages delivered today. They were thrown over our fence into our front yard....in the rain the boxes were soaked. There is a side covered porch that has easy access. I am very unhappy

UPS is the worst delivery company service of all eternity.

shipped a package on Friday July 6th. Package faced a slight delay with the processing. Got delayed from Thursday July 12th to Friday July 13th. Suddenly a mechanical failure occurs with one of their delivery trucks, the delivery date gets updated to Monday July 16th... I would highly advice for people to use either fedex or usps for their slightly better services. 4th time in a 2 month period this has happened because of UPS terrible delivery service. Avoid their services at all cost. Thanks to their terrible service, the check payment i would be receiving for this package would also get delayed. I REPEAT avoid their service at all cost. How are they still open for business is beyond my belief.

Add to that if they can’t figure out how to deliver the package to your address they will arbitrarily pick a different address for who knows what reason and send it there. Could not believe it but it happened to me

They lost a package of 150 bagels sent 2nd day air for a military breakfast. Customer service was useless and could care less. They refused to call queens facility where it was last scanned. Nice to treat our active servicemen this way. I will make sure all over twitter
