UPS in Santa Clara, California - Horrible!

I bought a laptop for school. And it shipped VIA UPS. During check out I opted for the more expensive delivery to get it sooner. And this was kind of a big deal for me. I needed a new computer ASAP. I needed it because mine is breaking down and is SUPER old. It can't run the programs I need. And that includes the counseling webpage for Orientation. I was given my orientation date for this coming Monday. It is now Saturday. The UPS facility that it is at, is closed and does no delivery on Saturdays. I realized this Thursday when my tracking number said my computer was still half way across the state. I contacted the shipper who even showed me proof that it was suppose to be quick delivery. They showed the invoice showing THEIR estimate of delivery, which was suppose to be Wednesday or Thursday. So it was not on the Shipper. I contacted UPS who said that it was "UPS Standard," and if this was a problem I could contact the seller and repurchase and select saturday delivery UPS... Why the *** would I spend another $500+? When I asked them that they straight up told me "Look sir, there is nothing we can do" Okay, I gave you all my name... Does "Jessilynn" sound like a dudes name? *** no, I am a trans woman, I got a cold... And again the prat said "I'm sorry sir." UGH again. Sir is a man. >:( But either way Stands the fact... I am totally screwed over. I have to wait another month for online orientation. That was NOT optional, only then can I enroll in my classes. And I might be stuck with *** General Education classes, rather than starting to work TOWARDS my major. THANKS UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

UPS worst service ever!!!

Couldn't schedule a normal pickup. After time for pickup was scheduled, the Driver didn't show up. I called several times and talked to customer service, looks like the computer system wasn't updated properly and I had to explain everything from scratch again and again. Finally the Driver stopped by at the time that wasn't originally scheduled and refused to pickup all the boxes. I spent hours on a phone with customer service representatives and supervisor. I think in general, the UPS become so big that can't provide even decent service anymore. Nobody really cares about the business. No such things exists like customer satisfaction. I will try to avoid UPS service as much as I can.

I had a package delivered to my address but the UPS driver who left it in my wheelie bin and put a UPS card through my letter box saying so. When i went to the bin the parcel was not there . I contacted the Rotherham Depot who had delivered the parcel who just did not want to know. I have requested reimbursement for the cost of the contents which is £157. 80p I also contacted the seller, ebay and paypal all have said that it is down to UPS to reimburse me but the Rotherham office say it is not down to them . They have no POD . If i do not get the cost of my package reimbursed then i will go through the small claims court and contact Watch Dog any any other public media. I look forward to your reply. maureenclaxton@hotmail.com

When I returned home Friday, 6/10, the UPS driver had blocked my driveway while he sorted his boxes, NOT a delivery. When I tooted my horn for him to move, he ignored it. I had to wait. Then he flipped open the back and YELLED at me "you have plenty of room." No, I...

Update by user Jun 15, 2016

Your lucky if you get your package. Forget about tracking, they do what they want.

Original review posted by user Jun 14, 2016

Do not use UPS....they are a bunch of thieves who take no responsibility for its own employees. The tracking system is a joke. Five days and it doesn't update. The delivery date comes and goes and still can't talk to a live person. Finally got a "Live Chat" going only ti be told "yes it is lost"! They tell me to contact my shipper! My husband works in shipping for a major University and he deals with them daily and says the same goes on there. I had a family member send me family earrings that never came. They actually delivered an empty box, after they retaped it. Couldnt get any response from UPS. Horrible customer service. Count yourself lucky if you get your package!

UPS should go out of business i was suppose to receive my package over a week ago. The delivery man wrote on the slip that he was at my store which is open from 10 a:m to 9:pm and he claim that he was at my store at 4 pm what a lier. I never go for lunch or close my store. Their customer service is awful. Don't use them if you can avoid it, this is the third time i am going through this. How can people run a business when UPS deliver their package one week later than expected. I vote UPS should go out of business and close their doors.

UPS in Sparks, Nevada - NO DELIVERY EVER

I have lived in an brand new secured apartment complex since March 2016. Not even one single resident in this building ever receives our packages. On the front entry door of the building we are just left slips. I have had to pay UPS money on 6 different occasions or go and drive 14 miles round trip to go and pick the packages up at main UPS location in Sparks, Nevada. No one at ups ever seems to care. At least once a month I am receiving a four medication cocktail that saves my life. I have ran out of this medication due to these issues and my insurance company specialty pharmacy only ships with them.

UPS estimated delivery is ridiculous. Driver attempted delivery 2 hours prior. Not only do you have to pay them to ship your packages you have to pay them to guarantee your delivery window on top of that.

Has to be the worst company to deal with. Had a package shipped from NJ to NJ. Was out for delivery at 427 am and never showed up. Called several times for tracking status. All i got was its on the way.... had to refuse shipment because it was perishable. Such BS. With all the resources of this company youd think tbey could do a little better. Management should be refreshed and replaced.

You're right on the nose about management. This company has gone from customer service being priority #1 to some dickless corporate twit that has never even touched a package micromanaging every last detail of the hourly workforce.

It's a terrible company but they've been around over 100 years so they think they have carte blanche to do whatever they feel is right. Its despicable.

UPS driver continually lies about delivery attempt

Details
Twice in the last couple of weeks I was supposed to have UPS deliveries to my (5th floor walk up) apartment. In both cases, I received notice giving a time frame, 11 to 3:30, and I was home during that period and longer. In neither case did the UPS deliverer ring the apartment bell and attempt to deliver the package to me. Instead, he/she took the package directly to the nearest access point. In the first case, I received a notice at that the driver had attempted delivery (a lie, of course) at 10 am (outside the stated time window) and had taken the package to the access point. In the second case, a week or so later, there was a notice on the apartment entrance that the package had been delivered directly to the access point. I then got a text saying "delivery was attempted" (another lie) at around 8:30 (WAY outside the window) AND that a second attempt would be made the next day. (Another lie!!!) At the access point, the store clerk who gives me my packages (and is paid nothing for the extra work) said that UPS delivered dozens of packages to them every morning (disrupting their business, by the way). "Do these guys even attempt to deliver their packages?" he wondered? Well, I was able to tell him, NO!!!!!

Access points are just another way to squeeze more out of the almighty dollar. They believe that there should be zero "send agains" (any package that was attempted at least once; i.e.

Anything signature required or some type of obvious valuables that the driver uses discretion on whether to leave it or not) if the driver has let's say 200 stops, his boss wants less than 5 "send agains" and will actually get some form of discipline for "failure to follow instructions". This company is the worst, they treat customers and employees like garbage.

But hey they are profitable and make billions each quarter. They're slaves to the shareholders.

@Nabbs

Happened to me yesterday Melbourne AUS... same thing, worked all day by the front door.

at 9pm i received an email alert saying that the driver attempted delivery at 4:15pm.

They must be able to change the time on their scanners, and then scan what they didnt get to deliver to make us think they made an attempt... they think we're idiots. To be honest, if the update just said "ran out of time for delivery" i probably would have accepted it.

but becuase they lie and try to cover it uo.... nup, not accepting that.
