Ups - Delivery Service Review

1.6
Details
I have had so many awful experiences with UPS. They don't always screw up, but when they do screw up, it's very thorough. One package went missing, they took no responsibility, and they were of no help in tracking it down. They didn't get back to me in a timely manner, I had to keep calling them to get anyone to give me any information which never came to anything. Another time, I arranged and paid for a package to be transferred to another facility as my travel plans had changed. The fee was hefty, but I paid it. Ultimately, they said they could not transfer the package, but I was still charged. Due to an issue with their site, I was initially charged three times. That was eventually sorted out, but I still paid a fee for a service they never rendered. My most recent complaint is that a package which was desperately needed on the scheduled delivery day ended up sitting in a trailer in my city for 5 days due to a weather delay. The bad weather was in the city the package was shipped from, but it arrived in my city late the night it was supposed to be delivered (a weekday). It wasn't just delivered the next business day, so I called customer service to ask if I couldn't just pick up the dang thing myself, but that was impossible because it needed to be sorted. I explained I was Moving abroad for work, I need this package now, and it's just sitting in a trailer 30 minutes from my house. They wouldn't work with me, so there it sat for 5 days, delaying my preparations for the move. So when you are shipping something, select FedEx or the USPS, who to this day have not disappointed and avoid the disgrace that is UPS.

ABSOLUTLY RIDICULOUS to insist on knowing what was shipped when I'm only trying to PRAISE a driver for going above & beyond!!!

My package was supposed to be delivered on the 12th that was order on the 10 with extra money on one day shipping. So I call UPS they said it should be there 13th, there have been "weather delays" (maybe just an excuse for them to be lazy) waited nothing came I called again they said it would be there by the 15th. And when I called them the 3rd time the agent said to "have patience the package will come" (BS) Still nothing came, so I contacted amazon and told them what had happened they refunded me and filed a complaint against UPS.

UPS Delivery Idiocy: Return of Incompetence

So I have far too many incidents with UPS, and I've had it all. They've damaged packages and blamed it on me, they've openly walked up to my front door and left a note without knocking or ringing the bell. ***, I've even opened the door to them either walking away or putting the notice on the door. Really UPS? Anyway, I've since moved to an apartment, where most of my mail is delivered via Canada Post. However, recently I filed a warranty claim with Razer over a defective laptop I received from them. They accepted the return without issue, and shipped a replacement due to arrive 1-3 business days later. All seems fine right? Well, the problems begin when I get an email informing me that UPS had been tasked with "delivering" my new laptop. Everything went smoothly until the item was listed as "out for delivery". I have the day off, and as such am home all day. My apartment uses an intercom system, where the buzzer connects directly to my phone. You ring, I get a phone call to let you in. However, delivery companies like UPS typically (99.999% of the time) don't need to buzz to be let in, as there is a front desk officer whom collects packages. This individual will let them in without question. Now, when I checked the tracking info, I was greeted with an exception. So, naturally I called UPS to get to the bottom of this, and was promptly informed that the driver had allegedly attempted to deliver my package, but needed an access code to enter my building. FALSE FACT #1. Had the driver even entered the building, he/she would have noticed that the intercom doesn't accept codes - you have to search for the resident's name to call them. Also, the driver alleges that they did not have my mobile number to call me about letting them in. FALSE FACT #2. Upon contacting Razer, I found that they did in fact provide UPS with literally all necessary information to get this package to me. The final false fact is the best of all, though. The customer service turd told me with perfect composure, that the driver had stated that there was no front desk employee to let them in. Now, this is sometimes true, as the officer typically walks around to patrol every hour or so for about 15 minutes. However, as I am home all day, I went downstairs to ask her about the incident. The report came at 10:36 a.m. She swears up and down that she was present during that time, as the Canada Post van arrived about 10 minutes later (corroborated by security cam video she showed me). I received 3 packages from Amazon (originally expected to arrive TOMORROW) that arrived early and with literally no issue. They were shipped with Canada Post.. I ended the call with dispatch saying that there will be someone to let the driver in, and if not to search for MY NAME THAT IS CLEARLY VISIBLE ON THE PACKAGE to ring my buzzer. I was promised that they would have the driver come back before the end of the day. I don't expect that to happen, nor do I expect anything to change. They will fail this delivery a second and third time, and I will have to drive about 30 minutes to pick up the laptop that was probably at the warehouse the whole time. Rinse, repeat. WAY TO GO UPS!

Ordered a package and was to be delivered via UPS. Fist issue, their site does not get updated regularly unlike when my packages have come via USPS. Second, their alert system via SMS or email? Doesn't even WORK. And their time windows for delivery? First 9AM to 12pm. then 3-7PM. And because it's a small town there's no FLIPPING way that it's delayed by traffic. Plus, I've seen TWO UPS TRUCKS just drive past-didn't stop at all-and it's not a through street. And don't get me started on the people working the call center-mostly foreign people you can't even UNDERSTAND. They delivered before and it turned out just fine-this time...it's like nothing is getting done and I cannot get any help.

I was suppose to receive this item though UPS on Dec 10 th 2017, on their tracking # it was delivered, but where is it? , is it not a law that anything over a 100 dollars needs to have someone sign for the item! This item was well over 500 dollars , as they said they drooped it off in my driveway, are u kidding me.?? They should pay my bill then for the item I never received!!! Now I am paying on a product I do not have thanks to you for being lazy!! What if we all did are jobs like you did, none of us would be working? This is so un called for it makes me ill!! That you people get away with this *** and we're the ones that have to pay for your mistakes!!

UPS - Worst Service Ever

We use UPS on Daily basis and other shipping companies. UPS has worst than everybody we have ever used. UPS staff is so unfriendly and unprofessional. Their first priority is not to help you but to get you off the phone. They can do that by saying that there is nothing they can do for you or Hanging up on you. We are having issue with one of our shipments. We got call back. Lady on the phone keeping saying that nothing she can do to help me with the shipments and i asked to talk to supervisor and she hang up on me.. UPS does not care about their customer if you can use other shipping company...

UPS - Totally Poor Service

I ordered photo cards for the holidays via Snapfish for 2016 and was happy to be receiving them with only 2 day shipping. After about 3 or 4 days the package had not arrived (or so I thought). It turns out that the UPS delivery driver had just thrown the envelope on my porch (not between the storm door and house door). I live in northern PA on a windy hill. So consequently, the envelope blew off the porch and into the snow. I did not find it for another 2 days after delivery. Needless to say the package was waterlogged along with the contents. I saw the driver a couple of days later when delivering additional packages to my house and he said he remembered delivering the envelope. He didn't apologize or really even seem to care. The photo cards inside the UPS envelope were all wet and sticking together. All of the mailing envelopes that Snapfish supplied were damaged. I called UPS Customer Service and they were very short with me and had no sympathy for my damaged package. I asked them to reimburse the cost of the photo cards but, they said I would have to supply proof of the damage. Really supply proof for a $21 order of cards that the driver admitted to not putting between the doors. I will avoid using UPS in the future and use FedEx whenever possible. Really UPS? Get your act together.
