UPS - Taking credit card payment for ridiculous brokerage fees and then sending it to collections. RMS
UPS is a Horrible company, will never use their service again. Delivered my order from Amazon.ca valued at $90.00 and charged $22.78 additional duty and brokerage fees.
The UPS driver holds your package for ransom at the door as they take your credit card and process it for payment of the fees, before they release your goods to you. Three months later a company called North American Receivable Management Services sends you a letter and tells you that you are in collections. After calling them you find out that for some unknown reason UPS did not process your credit card (something about wifi) and this from one of the most ignorant people I have ever encountered.
I will never ever use UPS and will refuse delivery from them if they ever show up at my door again. Everyone should be fore warned about UPS and their sidekick RMS somehow the whole process seems shady and one that I will ensure never to use again.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
UPS Cons: Way in which i have been dealt with.
Location: Woodstock, Ontario

Did you end up paying North American RMS?
Same thing, called to even stop delivery from happening and they said i had to refuse the driver. I did.
Then got an invoice, called they said they saw refused will cancel invoice, sent another tried again. Same thing and now 3 months later, debt letter. Called them same info, said their collections will call me and got a time, no response. And cannot get through to this agency.
The fees are way more than the item i had purchased. Ridiculous
I received this North American RMS letter from Montreal in May 2020 for the matter related to January 2020. I refused to take the delivery as the charges of brokerage was unknown and the value of the goods was not that worth.
Now, even though I refused to take delivery, I got this collection letter. What should I do?
Same thing happened to me. Took my credit card information.
Never processed the payment. Months later started receiving notices from a collections agency.
Ridiculous. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from UPS
I will never ever use UPS again!!!!!!!!!!
